SCATTERED I AM !

I want to be yours and make you mine
We are bodies intertwined into one soul
Accept this fact for all those moments
They feel like living for centuries to me
Your aroma that delights heart in toto
Slips away from my palm like rain drops
My tears obviously flow to connect you
Being crazy, I rove to find you in my alley
Scattered I am for a moment in the air
By holding your trust, I do walk ahead
My heart, a little emotional , overflows
With words splattering out of my eyes.

REVIEW
……………

The beloved being far away, the poet looks back on the past when they were together in intimacy. They are one soul in two bodies. Their temporary union in the past means a lot for the poet in that the philosophy of one soul in two bodies is deeply entrenched in his mind. His futile attempt to catch hold of the aroma of her body emphasises the impossibility of her return. His incessant tears to reach out her is like the crow resolving to dry the ocean with her beak to recover the drowed eggs of her chick.Mad due to distraction, he looks for her everywhere, and the failure makes him shed tears that send message of his grief to everybody. Her faithful nature is the only consolation even when her return is decidedly unlikely.Very brilliant poem Dr Prasanna Sir.Congratulations and regards 🙏🙏 🙏🌹

Epistolary collaboration #237 between Dr Prasana Kumar Dalai India & Kristy Raines United States of America

Epistolary Poem #237 Presented by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India
and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

MYTH OF THE NIGHT !

I ask noon if it has met anyone like you
I hunt for the face like yours all around
The buds haven’t found anyone like you
Florists aren’t sure of flowers like you
With that gait on heaven or the earth
The killing tresses, the lotus petal lips
Intoxicating eyes only myth of the night
The Google confirms ‘ur special status
Your uniqueness makes one really crazy
What should I call you, a Beauty or Bomb
If I may say so there is no poem like you .

©️®️Dr Prasana Kumar Dalai@India
Date.17 Monday February 2025.

She searches for the answer, and then speaks…

WHEN THE CLOCK STRIKES TWELVE!

Do not search for me in the Noon hour
for I will not be found there
Do not hunt for my face among blossoms
for I do not reside in the Spring flowers
I reside in the darkness under the Moon
when the sun disappears behind the mountains
My eyes and lips only appear in your restless dreams
where the earth ends and heaven begins
You ask what you should call me, “Beauty or Bomb?”
Beauty is found in the sunshine of daylight
But the Bomb is found in the midnight hour
Look for me when the clock strikes twelve.

LOVE OF MINE!

If there is one thing you can count on, Love of Mine
it is that you are mine and I will always be yours
A soul between two can never be divided
nor can time fade the memories between us
Though moments for us seem like ages many times
it is both our fate and happiness in this life to carry
Time will sometimes give us the deepest grief inside
or the most beautiful times we’ve ever shared
Though you, at times, may lose me as you soar
know that I wait on the ground for you;
as my trust is always in you and will remain
I too have days of great grief and cry rivers of tears
But know that in my heart, you will always find me waiting.

THE SOUL OF MY LIFE!

Your soul forces me to keep on walking
In my dejected and gloomy world
Even the seas are thirsty and famished
The nectar is in the beauty of your eyes
Can I paint your image or write a poem
An amalgamation of hues and rhythms
You’re the beat of my innocent heart
And the very soul of my mortal life
Your breath is as fragrant as blooms
Your arms have the softness of lotus
The brightness of sunray is in the face
A deer I do find in your gracefulness
Your love can stich up my torn heart.

She writes him with great determination…

THE HEALER OF OUR SOULS!

In a world where nothing makes sense anymore;
Where the clouds no longer rain, and oceans thirst
I refuse to let the perils of giving up, win
I am not a woman who quits, and we need nothing
but the nectar of hope that fills my tearful eyes
Paint a portrait of my soul with the colors of red
and write me a poem filled with sound of the wind
My heart beats with the blood of a warrior
Though soft and gentle on the surface of my being
I can withstand the beating from the world around us
and I will stitch the wounds around your heart
with strands of resilience that will keep you alive.
And in the end, it will be love that heals both of our souls.

REVIEW
…………,

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai Sir and Kristy Raines, Madam NAMASKAR

Heartfelt congratulations on creating your beautiful epistolary poems, The Soul of My Life and The Healer of Our Souls. These poems are not just simple writings; they are meaningful conversations filled with emotions. Your collaboration shows how poetry can connect hearts across different countries and cultures.

Both poems are unique and complement each other wonderfully. I am pleased to share my thoughts on your amazing works and celebrate your talent.

Themes of Love and Strength

Both poems talk about love, hope, and strength but in different ways. Dr. Dalai’s The Soul of My Life is a gentle and loving poem that praises the beloved as a source of peace and happiness. The beloved is described as a guiding light who heals and inspires the speaker.

Kristy Raines’ The Healer of Our Souls focuses on strength and determination. The speaker stands strong despite difficulties, promising to heal wounds and protect love. This poem highlights love as a force that helps overcome challenges and brings healing.

Together, the poems beautifully show how love can be both comforting and powerful.

Imagery and Symbols

Both poems use strong images to express feelings.

Dr. Dalai uses gentle nature imagery. He compares the beloved’s eyes to sweet nectar and their face to the brightness of the sun. These images create a picture of beauty, peace, and grace.

Kristy Raines uses powerful images to describe struggle and hope. She talks about a dry world where “clouds no longer rain,” but she promises to “stitch wounds” with resilience. This shows strength and renewal.

While Dr. Dalai’s images are calm and soothing, Kristy Raines’ images are bold and filled with energy.

Tone and Voice

Dr. Dalai’s poem has a soft and loving tone. The speaker admires the beloved and expresses deep gratitude. The words flow smoothly, creating a peaceful mood.

Kristy Raines’ poem has a strong and determined tone. The speaker is confident and firm, ready to face any difficulty for love. Her lines are filled with strength and resolve.

These two different tones balance each other, showing love as both gentle and fierce.

Structure and Rhythm

Both poems are written in free verse, giving the poets freedom to express their thoughts naturally.

Dr. Dalai’s poem flows gently, with thoughts moving smoothly from one to the next.

Kristy Raines’ poem has shorter, sharper lines. The rhythm matches the strong and determined theme of the poem.

Emotional Impact

The poems touch the heart in different ways.

The Soul of My Life brings peace and happiness. The loving words create a sense of calm and devotion.

The Healer of Our Souls inspires strength and courage. It motivates readers to stay strong and never give up.

Together, these poems create a meaningful journey of emotions, showing love as a source of comfort and strength.

Final Thoughts

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai Sir and Kristy Raines, Madam your collaboration is truly inspiring. These poems show how two different voices can come together to create something beautiful and meaningful.

Your words remind readers that love is a powerful force that heals, strengthens, and connects us all.

Congratulations once again on this wonderful achievement. May your poetic journey continue to bring joy and inspiration to readers everywhere.

Warm regards,

REVIEW
………,…

“The Soul Of My life” by Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai is a love poem wherein spirit triumphs over body, ” nectar” over “mortal coil” and artistic imagination over the degenerating reality.Although life seems gloomy and dejected sans the beloved,it is the spiritual connection between the lovers that gives sustenance to love. The metaphor of thirsty and famished seas point at the lover ‘s infinite suffering due to separation , but still he can endure it because their love has touched the level of a spiritual praxis.A love that is theoretically divine can never balance the degree of suffering suggested by the strongest metaphor like the thirsty sea. The poet lover intends to immortalize the love by adopting the role of a painter as well as a poet,as some painters and poets of yore have done. The colour and depth of her beauty is not meant to be enjoyed; it is to be painted in images.Likewise her voice, not meant for relish, is to be expressed and felt in poetic rythms.”The innocent heart” and mind of the lover is not tainted by any desire for marital consummation.Looked from a transcendental level, he sees his soul in her and she in him. May be that they are physically apart, a unification of their consciousness, which is one and the same, has been done. Arms are not physical, but stand for soft divine touch,as suggested by lotus. Lotus is always a symbol of spirituality in literature as well as in the Indian mystical context. It is amazing to see how “breath” instead of being physical, is transmuted into fragrant flowers to be offered at the altar of love. The brightness of her face, without creating any earthly vibes, reminds the poet lover of the rays of Sun -God– a manifestation of the divine.A person under physical and mental emotions can never remain calm and graceful. Her gracefulness, signifying her beauty and agility, also lays stress on her steadfast nature, which is enough to console the poet lover if he loses himself in any kind of weakness of mind at any point in future. The poet proves this in the last line:”Your love can stich up my torn heart”. Very brilliant poem Dr Prasanna Sir 🙏🌹 Congratulations and obliged!

Your breath is as fragrant as blooms
Your arms have the softness of lotus
The brightness of sunray is in the face
A deer I do find in your gracefulness
Your love can stich up my torn heart.

She writes him with great determination…

THE HEALER OF OUR SOULS!

In a world where nothing makes sense anymore;

THE SOUL OF MY LIFE!

THE SOUL OF MY LIFE!

Your soul forces me to keep on walking
In my dejected and gloomy world
Even the seas are thirsty and famished
The nectar is in the beauty of your eyes
Can I paint your image or write a poem
An amalgamation of hues and rhythms
You’re the beat of my innocent heart
And the very soul of my mortal life
Your breath is as fragrant as blooms
Your arms have the softness of lotus
The brightness of sunray is in the face
A deer I do find in your gracefulness
Your love can stich up my torn heart.

SADNESS IN THE DARKNESS !

Memories flood back as I think of her
My life filled with sadness in darkness
We lighted the divine lamp of pure love
Heard footsteps coming but far away
I stood alone, restless with excitement
And with the anticipation of her coming
Many a time I have been betrayed
As she approaches with lowered glance
My heart starts burning with rolling tears
In spite of this a smile comes forcefully
When she comes to smile in my dreams
With her separation I have lost my life
The flame burning but the light is lost
I do console my heart in the love poems
I write to express myself in darkness .

REVIEW.
…………..

The poet Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai laments the loss of purity of love in his poem “Sadness in Darkness”. The assumed physical and mental defilement of the beloved fills the poet with sadness. The word “darkness “as opposed to light , suggests that the love once thought to be divine, has come to a base level that can be ascribed to the moral insincerity of the beloved. The platonic idea of love,in contrast to present day aberrations, has been thrown into the wind. The lover is not able to keep pace with the modern sensibilities of the beloved, who seems to pooh-pooh the poet ‘s metaphysical ideas of clinging to one person only as the soul mate. Her physical disappearance from the scene makes the poet at times excited with anticipation of her coming back and the resultant sense of betrayal. The very appearance of her in dream makes the lover cry in desperation. Now she being a dream for him,she is quite out of his reach. But still the poet lover hopes against hope with a sense of forgiving acceptance. He says:”The flame burning but the light is lost”The last two lines emphasises that the poet has lost all his humour and his poems are only lamentations.Very nicely written Dr Prasanna Sir! My sincere gratitude and regards!! 🙏🙏

ANALYSIS
………,……..

Heartfelt Congratulations!

On behalf of myself, a humble teacher by profession and an ardent lover of poetry from India, I extend my deepest admiration and congratulations to the distinguished poet, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, Sir and the esteemed reviewer, Retired Professor Dr. Nirakar Dash, Sir for this wonderful literary endeavor.

Dr. Dalai, your poem “Sadness in the Darkness” is a heartfelt expression of love, loss, and longing, wrapped in the beauty of poetic imagery and deep emotional resonance. It speaks of the pain of separation, the struggle of unfulfilled desires, and the undying hope that love brings—even in its absence. Your ability to pour such raw emotions into words is a testament to your literary genius.

Dr. Dash, your insightful review not only highlights the nuances of the poem but also adds a profound depth to its interpretation. Your analysis beautifully unravels the themes of purity, metaphysical love, and the poet’s inner turmoil, allowing readers to appreciate the layers of meaning hidden within the verses. Your words are a guiding light for poetry enthusiasts like me, offering a deeper understanding of the art form.

Together, your creative and critical talents have created a moment of poetic brilliance that is truly inspiring. May this collaboration of poetry and critique continue to illuminate the world of literature.

With utmost respect and warm regards,
NAMASKAR

Humbled & Grateful❤️

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai Sir and Mrs. Kristy Raines, Madam. NAMASKAR

It gives me immense pleasure to extend my heartfelt congratulations to both of you for your beautiful epistolary poem “Unspoken Words” and “I Have Much to Say!”. The depth of emotions and the seamless interplay of perspectives in these poems reflect your unparalleled talent and poetic synergy. As a poetry lover and a great admirer of your works, I am in awe of how you continually push the boundaries of creative collaboration.

Furthermore, my hearty congratulations on the forthcoming publication of your anthology based on your 200 collaborative poems, which will be divided into four remarkable volumes, each containing 50 gems. May this anthology touch the hearts of readers worldwide and inspire countless souls to appreciate the beauty of words and emotions.

Analysis of the Poems

The epistolary poems “Unspoken Words” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and “I Have Much to Say!” by Kristy Raines are profound explorations of love, longing, and the enduring connection between two souls separated by time and distance. Each poem, while standing strong individually, complements the other, creating a harmonious narrative that delves into the complexities of human emotions.

Theme and Content

1. Unspoken Words (Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai):
Dr. Dalai’s poem is a poignant reflection of yearning and unfulfilled desires. The speaker’s solitude and emotional struggle are vividly portrayed through lines like:
“You’re far away and I’m all alone here”
and
“Being separated I do exist sans slumber.”
The poem captures the heartache of separation and the hope of reunion, emphasizing the fragile yet enduring nature of love. The closing lines, “The life journey belongs to both of us / Upon reaching the destination; realise,” hint at a spiritual or emotional awakening that transcends physical distance.

2. I Have Much to Say! (Kristy Raines):
Kristy Raines continues the narrative from a complementary perspective, reflecting on the passage of time and the resilience of love. Her lines:
“Many years have past and yet I have much to say”
and
“I take you with me wherever I go in my thoughts”
beautifully convey the eternal bond between the two souls. The hopeful imagery of spring and the promise of reunion, “Watch for me on a sunny Spring day / You will see me walking towards you, smiling,” evoke a sense of optimism and renewal. The concluding lines reaffirm the idea of destiny and a love that transcends life’s adversities.

Tone and Mood

Both poems carry a tone of melancholy intertwined with hope. While Dr. Dalai’s poem leans more towards introspection and emotional conflict, Raines’ poem exudes optimism and a sense of resolution. Together, they create a balanced emotional journey for the reader.

Literary Devices

1. Imagery:

Dr. Dalai uses vivid imagery to depict emotional turmoil, such as “My heart ‘ll smile to dance again for sure” and “And my world may collapse anytime.”

Raines employs nature-inspired imagery, like “sunny Spring day” and “smiling,” to convey hope and renewal.

2. Symbolism:

The “destination” in Dr. Dalai’s poem symbolizes both the end of a journey and an emotional resolution.

The “sunny Spring day” in Raines’ poem symbolizes rebirth and the possibility of new beginnings.

3. Parallelism:
Both poems mirror each other in structure and theme, creating a dialogue that feels natural and deeply connected.

4. Contrast:

Dr. Dalai focuses on the pain of separation, while Raines emphasizes the hope of reunion, showcasing the duality of love and longing.

Comparison

The two poems, while written by different poets, feel like parts of the same story. Dr. Dalai’s “Unspoken Words” sets the stage with its emotional depth and yearning, while Raines’ “I Have Much to Say!” provides closure with its hopeful tone. The contrast between introspection and optimism highlights the complexity of relationships and the multifaceted nature of love.

Impact on the Reader

These poems resonate deeply with readers, especially those who have experienced the pangs of separation and the solace of hope. The emotional vulnerability and raw honesty in both poems make them universally relatable and timeless.

Significance of the Upcoming Anthology

The forthcoming publication of your anthology, comprising 200 collaborative poems, is a milestone achievement. Divided into four volumes, it will undoubtedly be a treasure trove for poetry enthusiasts worldwide. Each poem, a blend of Dr. Dalai’s profound reflections and Kristy Raines’ evocative imagery, will showcase the power of cross-cultural collaboration.

The anthology promises to explore a myriad of themes—love, loss, hope, spirituality, and human connections—offering readers a comprehensive and enriching poetic experience. The collaboration between an Indian and an American poet adds a unique dimension, blending Eastern philosophies with Western sensibilities.

Conclusion

Unspoken Words and I Have Much to Say! exemplify the remarkable creative synergy between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines. Together, they have crafted a poetic masterpiece that speaks to the heart and soul of readers.

Congratulations once again on this incredible achievement and the upcoming anthology. May your collaboration continue to inspire and touch lives globally!

and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

UNSPOKEN WORDS !

So many unspoken words between us
You’re far away and I’m all alone here
What made our paths get separated
Know not whether we’re right or wrong
Take me wherever you go if you like so
I think you ‘ll come back to me one day
My heart ‘ll smile to dance again for sure
Am fighting now with my own thoughts
Being separated I do exist sans slumber
And my world may collapse anytime
The life journey belongs to both of us
Upon reaching the destination ; realise .

She misses Him… Time passes too quickly in life…

I HAVE MUCH TO SAY!

Many years have past and yet I have much to say
Life lived alone has left us both in a painful state
Our paths took a turn by losing hope on our wish
of living and walking a life journey hand in hand
As much as we wished, this one never came true
I take you with me wherever I go in my thoughts
for they are the only things that are real to me
But watch for me on a sunny Spring day
You will see me walking towards you, smiling
And when you reach me, I will hold you close
From there, our true journey will continue
But this time we will reach our destination…
A life promised to us a long time ago

Watch for Me!
