Global poetry champions announced by Motivational Strips

Motivational Strips, the world’s most active writers forum announced the winners of ‘Be A Star Poetry Contest’ yesterday evening. The event was graced by Dr K Satchidanandan, Kerala
Sahitya Akademi president, along with Rupa Publications Managing Partner Raju Barman. The founder and president of Motivational Strips Shiju H Pallithazheth while thanking the poets from across the world for active participation stated that the contest had scores of participants from more than hundred countries. He said that poetry had created an unwavering unity and global integration through literature.

Dr K Satchidanandan applauded the quality process of the overall contest, and appreciated the efforts put in by administration of Motivational Strips, by choosing jury from different parts of the world being a global contest . He added that such quality contests are not easy to win when the competition is with the entire world., but the experience garnered by participation could bring out the best in a poet. Raju Barman highlighted that poetry remains powerful and ever green after witnessing the heavy participation in this contest by worldwide poets.He congratulated the founder of Motivational Strips for his leadership skills in handling literary affairs throughout the world.

Motivational Strips is the world’s most valued literary online forum, and has active participation of writers from more than 197 countries. The monthly impressions to this forum from readers and writers crosses a whopping 7.5 million every month.

Popular Malaysian Author Lilian Woo, the contest chair for BAS contest stated that her team had a tough time to decide the winners and thanked her jury team comprising of Author Barbara Ehrentreu (USA), Author Corina Junghiatu (Romania), Author Ewelina Maria Bugajska Javorka (Denmark) and Author Sonia Batra (India)

Priyanka Banerjee(India) bagged the first place in Poetry Rendition (English) while Ipsita Ganguli (India) and Mary Lynn Luiz(USA) shared second and third positions. The first and second place winners in poetry rendition(English Category) also wins a full paid trip for two days to Muscat City, Oman. This was awarded by event sponsors from Oman – Akbar Holidays, Best Western Hotels and Speedy Enterprises . The General Manager of Best Western Hotel Mr Abdul Samad, stated from his Muscat office that they would always be happy to support such qualitative literary functions

Vineet Singh Galhotra (India) won the first place in written Poetry (English) while Paris Manza (Zambia) and Archana Pushkaran (India) shared second and third place respectively.

The first place in Poetry Rendition and third place in written poetry of other languages were bagged by Pasquale Cusano (Italy). Hira Mehta (India) won first place in written Poetry category and third place in poetry rendition of other languages . Graciela Noemi Villaverde (Argentina) firmly held second position in bath categories in other languages.

Chief Guest Raju Barman expressed his delight to note that first and second place in poetry rendition category was held by poets from Kolkata city, and thus keeping alive literary history of the city. The overall event of ‘Be A Star contest awards’ was moderated by Motivational Strips head of media coordination and logistics Author Sreekala P Vijayan. She thanked the dignitaries and participants for making the event a grand success worldwide. Chief Guest K Satchidanandan ended the event praising efforts of Motivational Strips Global Administration while. maintaining its strong stand as the world’s most active writers forum.
