Waves of Pain
———————-
In Hamlet’s soliloquy, I find my voice,
To be or not, is this my choice?
The Tempest’s storms within me rage,
Yet no one heeds the wisdom of the stage.
Great Expectations, but none fulfilled,
Dickens’ tales, where dreams are killed,
In every class, the weight I bear,
Of Pip’s despair, unmet and rare.
Donne’s holy sonnets, echoes of my grief,
Death be not proud, yet where’s relief?
For every verse I teach in vain,
I drown in the waves of endless pain.
