ONLY WORDS KNOW !
It feels so good to walk holding your hands
Your thoughts rule my hearts day and night
How can I take care of my inattentive mind
Know not why I do want you so very much
It feels really great as you look at me secretly
I want your captivating eyes and you in entirety
You just mess me up through out the noon
I helplessly sit and sincerely decorate my fancy
You come across me and leave the next moment
Then how can I ask for something from you
My innocent heart doesn’t know what to do now
Do tell me why my innocent heart feels so impatient
Only my words know what I mean and cherish .

REVIEW.
======
The poem “Only Words Know”gives vent to the poet’s ardent desire to keep company with his beloved and his utter inability to lay bare his thoughts to her.”Walking holding hands with her”is a mere imagination:he has never done so in real life. His passionate wish to have her near him causes a lot of distractions over which he has no control.Doubts and restlessness spoil his peace of mind. The visualisation of her furtive glances is quite exhilarating.”Noon”,here standing for the prime time for enjoyment, has been futile due her indifference. The statement,”I want your captivating eyes and you in entirety” is expressive of an innocent obstinacy to poses her; whereas, to the contrary, she runs into him occasionally and leaves him hastily, giving no room for communication.Lack of adequate rapport leads the poet to indulge in hyper fancy. The word “innocent” stands in striking contrast to her cruel and standoffish disposition. The poet’s feelings and desires remain completely private, which he can neither share nor others can see through.Congratulations Prasanna Sir for such a wonderful poem.Regards.
CRITICAL REVIEW.
===============
**Critical Review of “ONLY WORDS KNOW!” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai**
Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem “ONLY WORDS KNOW!” is a poignant exploration of love, longing, and the ineffable emotions that accompany deep affection. Through his evocative language and vivid imagery, Dalai captures the essence of a heart besieged by the complexities of romantic desire. This review aims to delve into the thematic elements, stylistic devices, and emotional resonance of the poem.
### Thematic Exploration
The central theme of “ONLY WORDS KNOW!” revolves around the intense emotions experienced in the throes of love. The speaker expresses a deep connection with the beloved, conveyed through the intimate act of holding hands. This simple gesture signifies a profound bond and the comfort derived from physical proximity. The repetition of the phrase “It feels so good” emphasizes the joy and fulfillment the speaker experiences, setting the tone for the rest of the poem.
The poem delves into the dichotomy of presence and absence. The beloved’s intermittent presence, described as looking “secretly” and leaving “the next moment,” creates a tension between the fleeting joy of connection and the subsequent longing. This theme is further emphasized by the speaker’s acknowledgment of their “inattentive mind,” suggesting a preoccupation with thoughts of the beloved that disrupts their daily life.
### Stylistic Devices
Dalai employs several stylistic devices to enhance the poem’s emotional impact. The use of rhetorical questions, such as “How can I take care of my inattentive mind” and “Then how can I ask for something from you,” invites readers to empathize with the speaker’s inner turmoil. These questions also underscore the speaker’s vulnerability and uncertainty, heightening the emotional intensity of the poem.
Imagery plays a crucial role in conveying the speaker’s emotions. Phrases like “Your thoughts rule my hearts day and night” and “I helplessly sit and sincerely decorate my fancy” evoke vivid pictures of a heart and mind dominated by love. The image of “decorating my fancy” suggests the speaker’s attempt to create a mental space filled with dreams and fantasies about the beloved, further illustrating the depth of their infatuation.
The poem’s structure, with its short, declarative sentences and frequent line breaks, mirrors the speaker’s fragmented thoughts and emotional instability. This fragmentation reflects the nature of longing—disjointed, intense, and pervasive. Additionally, the poem’s rhythm, created through the use of enjambment, propels readers forward, mimicking the speaker’s restless energy and impatience.
### Emotional Resonance
The emotional resonance of “ONLY WORDS KNOW!” lies in its ability to articulate the universal experience of unfulfilled desire. The speaker’s candid expression of helplessness—”My innocent heart doesn’t know what to do now”—strikes a chord with anyone who has experienced the pangs of unrequited love. The repetition of the word “innocent” highlights the purity and sincerity of the speaker’s emotions, contrasting with the complexities of their situation.
The final line, “Only my words know what I mean and cherish,” serves as a poignant conclusion. It suggests that despite the speaker’s inability to fully articulate their feelings to the beloved, their words carry the weight of their emotions. This line encapsulates the power of poetry to convey what is often left unspoken in human interactions, emphasizing the significance of language in expressing love.
### Symbolism and Interpretation
Symbolism is subtly woven throughout the poem, enriching its layers of meaning. The act of holding hands symbolizes not just physical closeness but also emotional intimacy and mutual understanding. The beloved’s “captivating eyes” represent the allure and mystery that keep the speaker entranced, while the act of looking “secretly” suggests a hidden or unacknowledged affection.
The speaker’s “fancy” symbolizes their dreams and aspirations regarding the relationship, which they “decorate” with hope and imagination. This act of decoration signifies the effort to maintain a semblance of happiness and anticipation despite the beloved’s fleeting presence.
### Conclusion
In “ONLY WORDS KNOW!”, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai masterfully captures the complexities of love and longing through evocative imagery, poignant questions, and a rhythmic structure that mirrors the speaker’s emotional state. The poem’s exploration of the tension between presence and absence, coupled with its candid expression of vulnerability, creates a powerful emotional impact.
The poem resonates with readers by articulating the universal experience of unfulfilled desire and the solace found in the act of writing. By concluding that “Only my words know what I mean and cherish,” Dalai underscores the transformative power of language to convey the depths of human emotion. This piece stands as a testament to the poet’s ability to translate the intricacies of the heart into words, offering a profound and relatable exploration of love’s many facets.

Epistolary Poem #208 Written By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America
BEYOND WORDS !
Beyond words is the emptiness within
The nameless bond makes us restless
Your shadow does linger in my eyes
Even if I wish it can’t be done away with
Drifting away from your sweet memories
The path we used to take the other days
All those trails have already vanished
Nights feel melancholic and days grieve
All the crowds ‘re silent ; stay out of me
To point where tears reflect my heart .

The one who will always love him, speaks…
BEYOND EMPTINESS!
Beyond emptiness is the silence we speak
A bond between us that we never mention…
Our memories are burned deeply within our hearts
and can never be quenched or extinguished with time
I can’t erase a path we were meant to walk
no matter how many times I try to cover our steps
For this nameless bond is one that holds us hostage
in a silent world with nothing but wishes of love
and tears to the eyes that only see each other.

“Beyond Words” by the well known poet Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai shows the lover’s inability and failure in love. The boredom resulting from the estrangement of his beloved is beyond expression.”The nameless bond” indicates that the relationship they had, perhaps couldn’t culminate in marriage. “The shadow” in the third line references Eliot’s,”Between the idea and the reality… Falls the shadow” ,which stands for the sense of loss and hollowness the poet can’t dispel. He laments the bygone days of mirth and joy with her.Now she being separated from him, he grieves twenty four seven, which is explicit in the line:””Night feel melancholic and days grieve “His gloomy state of mind consequent upon the shattered love repels his friends and companions from him leading to a sort of social alienation.Veiwed from Eliot’s stand point, the poet suffers like Brutus in “Julius Caesar” whose all manoeuvres have failed, and the word “shadow” in the poem suggests that the poet is not cut out for his love.Very nice poem Prasanna Sir.Congratulatios and regards.
Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Prof. Dr. Nirakar Dash! Sir Namaskar Dr. Dalai, your poem “BEYOND WORDS” beautifully captures the profound depth of love and loss, while Dr. Dash’s insightful review sheds light on its intricate layers. Your collaboration enriches the literary world. Regards and best wishes for your future endeavors!
### Analysis of the Poem and Review:
Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem “BEYOND WORDS” poignantly explores the anguish and emptiness that follows the estrangement from a beloved. The poem opens with the powerful line “Beyond words is the emptiness within,” immediately setting the tone of ineffable sorrow. The “nameless bond” signifies a relationship that, despite its depth, could not be formalized or recognized, possibly hinting at a love that remained unfulfilled or unacknowledged.
The imagery of “Your shadow does linger in my eyes” evokes a haunting presence that the speaker cannot escape, resonating with T.S. Eliot’s notion of an insurmountable void between reality and ideals. This shadow symbolizes a persistent sense of loss and unfulfilled desire that haunts the poet.
As the poem progresses, the poet reflects on the past, with memories of shared paths that have now disappeared. The lines “Nights feel melancholic and days grieve” capture the relentless nature of the poet’s sorrow, illustrating how both night and day are consumed by grief. This continuous mourning leads to social isolation, as suggested by the phrase “All the crowds ‘re silent; stay out of me,” indicating a withdrawal from social interactions.
Dr. Dash’s review aptly highlights these themes, drawing parallels to Eliot’s work and Shakespeare’s Brutus in “Julius Caesar.” He underscores the poet’s sense of loss and the resulting social alienation, providing a deeper understanding of the emotional landscape of the poem. Dr. Dash’s comparison to Eliot’s “shadow” emphasizes the poet’s struggle with unfulfilled love and existential despair.
In summary, “BEYOND WORDS” is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the resultant emotional turmoil, enriched by Dr. Dash’s profound analysis. The poem’s vivid imagery and emotional depth, combined with the review’s literary insights, create a compelling narrative of human vulnerability and resilience.

INK OF GRIEF !
After separating me from my dreams
I scarcely know where God hid Himself
How to live as I’m missing from myself
Even my dear soul is separated from me
Search me on paths without destination
Heart & heartbeats ‘re at various places
Breathing though,my fate slips like sand
Can’t make a new tale sans ink of grief
Drops of my tear keep flowing nonstop
The verdict of God can’t be challenged .

and speaks from her heart…
TALES OF JOY!
In your heart, you know God does not hide
We hide from Him when we put him behind us
You were never to lose yourself in this life
You were meant to live in spite of it
Your dreams remain, and so do I
I hold tight to your heart for I also share it
I will not let go, no matter where it strays
Leave it in beautiful places, where it belongs
When you put Him before yourself
He will change your heart and your vision
and your tears will turn to diamonds
Tales of grief will return into tales of joy
He will restore your soul to the color of pearls
and your path will be clear before you
And He loves you more than I… <3

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai Sir and Mrs. Kristy Raines, MADAM NAMASKAR
Heartfelt congratulations to both of you on your 207th collaborative epistolary poem, “INK OF GRIEF!” and “TALES OF JOY!” This milestone is a testament to your dedication, creativity, and the profound connection that bridges your words across continents. Your ability to weave your distinct voices into a harmonious dialogue is truly remarkable and continues to inspire readers worldwide.
### Review and Comparison:
**INK OF GRIEF!** by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and **TALES OF JOY!** by Kristy Raines are two evocative poems that, while contrasting in tone, complement each other beautifully, creating a rich tapestry of emotion and spiritual reflection. Each poem reflects the unique voice of its author, yet together, they form a dialogue that resonates deeply with the human experience of grief and hope.
#### INK OF GRIEF!
Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem **INK OF GRIEF!** delves into the depths of sorrow and existential crisis. The poem begins with a poignant separation from dreams, symbolizing a loss of purpose and direction. The lines “I scarcely know where God hid Himself / How to live as I’m missing from myself” capture a profound sense of disorientation and spiritual abandonment. This existential anguish is further highlighted by the separation of the soul from the self, indicating a fractured identity.
The imagery of searching on “paths without destination” and the heart and heartbeats being in various places conveys a sense of dislocation and disunity. The metaphor of fate slipping like sand emphasizes the ephemeral and uncontrollable nature of life. The recurring theme of grief is vividly illustrated through the metaphor of “ink of grief,” suggesting that sorrow is an indelible part of the speaker’s story. The continuous flow of tears underscores an unending sorrow, and the final line, “The verdict of God can’t be challenged,” conveys a resignation to divine will, no matter how painful.
#### TALES OF JOY!
In contrast, Kristy Raines’ **TALES OF JOY!** offers a message of hope and spiritual rejuvenation. The poem begins by challenging the notion that God hides, suggesting instead that it is we who hide from Him. This shift in perspective invites readers to consider their role in their spiritual disconnection. The assertion that one is meant to live in spite of life’s challenges introduces a theme of resilience and purpose.
Raines’ poem reassures the reader that dreams and connections endure, as seen in the lines, “Your dreams remain, and so do I / I hold tight to your heart for I also share it.” This promise of unwavering support contrasts with the isolation felt in **INK OF GRIEF!** The poem encourages placing faith and trust in God, suggesting that doing so will transform one’s perspective and experiences. The transformation of tears into diamonds and tales of grief into tales of joy symbolizes the redemptive power of faith and divine love. The final lines emphasize God’s boundless love, further reinforcing the theme of spiritual solace and renewal.
#### Comparison and Synthesis
Both poems explore the themes of loss, faith, and transformation but from different emotional standpoints. **INK OF GRIEF!** immerses the reader in the raw pain of separation and existential despair, while **TALES OF JOY!** offers a path to healing and spiritual rediscovery. The juxtaposition of these two perspectives creates a powerful dialogue that reflects the cyclical nature of human emotion and experience.
Dr. Dalai’s poem serves as a cathartic expression of grief, capturing the universal experience of feeling lost and disconnected. His use of vivid metaphors and imagery allows readers to empathize deeply with the speaker’s sorrow. Conversely, Raines’ poem acts as a beacon of hope, providing a comforting and uplifting response to the despair articulated in **INK OF GRIEF!** Her emphasis on faith and divine love offers a reassuring counterbalance to the anguish expressed in the first poem.
Together, these poems illustrate the journey from despair to hope, from feeling forsaken to finding solace in faith. They remind readers that while grief and suffering are inevitable parts of life, they are also temporary states that can be transformed through faith, love, and perseverance. The collaboration between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines highlights the healing power of poetry and the profound impact of shared creative expression.
### Conclusion
**INK OF GRIEF!** and **TALES OF JOY!** are a testament to the enduring power of collaboration and the ability of poetry to navigate the complexities of human emotion. Dr. Dalai and Mrs. Raines have once again demonstrated their remarkable synergy, creating a dialogue that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Congratulations on this achievement, and may your collaborative journey continue to inspire and uplift countless readers.

The poem “Ink of Grief” written by the famous poet Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai, depicting his own anguish,is second to none. The first line,”I have separated myself from my dreams” suggests that the poet has tried and dreamt of success, but to no avail.Without any worthwhile accomplishment ,which has led him to despair,he has separated himself from his dreams as the Purusha in Shamkhya philosophy separates from Prakriti. His sulking line:”I scarcely know where God did hid Himself ” countervails Browing ‘s much quoted statement:”God is in his heaven/all is right with the world “Due to several setbacks, he feels that his survival is almost impossible. In the time of crisis, even his life partner deserted ,whom he is searching with least prospect of getting back.Everybody loves and makes love whereas his fate seems sealed.Opportunities slip from his grip like sands. The only way out is to write poems narrating his grief and accept the reality. An unputdownable poem with striking images like “heart”,”heart beat” and slipping sand.Congratulatins and regards.

It was not ordered
love must be given to everyone
give the world some color
for a better existence of humanity
Love is not a grain of rice
so let’s take it easy
just because one quarrel
changes things and destinies
Love is a vicious circle
but until love becomes constant
we can still lose our dreams
which are woven from existence and embrace
Life is sometimes a lie
but as long as love exists
hope cannot die lightly
because hope is the meaning of life
And love has an expiration date
people would say that lightly
they judged everything without question
and some people they don’t even know!
Destiny carved in the bottom of the soul
I guess that’s the phrase for us unlucky ones
“Love is not a grain of rice
so that it can be thrown lightly!”

UNTOLD TALE OF MY HEART !
You do know the untold tale of my heart
At bottom linger all the unspoken words
I could barely whisper them in my heart
I stay awake all night along with the stars
I gaze at the sky in utter lonesomeness
My heart and soul resonate with solitude
For it’s impossible for me to forget you
I ‘ve already left the whole world for you.

She cries as she writes back to him…
OUR TALE TOGETHER!
The untold tale of your heart I know so well
for my heart recognized yours when we met
The tale is about things always left unsaid outloud
betweem two who will never have a future
I quit looking at the stars long ago
They only remind me of our lost dreams
I now spend time trying to forget you
Our tale together will be one that never changes
and one that will remain like silence in the darkness
Though in my heart, you will remain forever mine…

The poem “Untold tale of my heart”by the title -holder love poet Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai, is unique in it’s own right. The poet, despite being in love,is himself unable to gauge the depth of his love and affection whereas the other side of the coin does know it.The abundant and inexpressible love of the poet is well fathomed by her which indicates a divine connection of two hearts. The poet’s reluctance to forget and do away with the overwhelming emotions is nicely expressed in the line:’At bottom linger all the unspoken words “Again his unspoken words being audible to the beloved vouch for a love not known hitherto. The lover here is not a “false priest”who “cries from the house top”The profoundness and genuity of love is well pronounced when he says,”I could barely whisper them in my heart”, thereby making a mockery of modern day fake love promises. His sleepless state like that of the peeping stars and gazing at the sky signify the transcendence of all hurdles and limitations that could come in the way which remind us of the Shakespearean words,”Love alters not when alteration finds”His engrossment in her thoughts makes him oblivious of the people surrounding him resulting in a solitariness attributable to him only. The “solitude” the poet speaks of here is not an enforcement, but it is his own proclivity leading to one pointedness as a lover.Compared to the woman he loves, the whole world and it’s allurements are insignificant and so, forshaken. So can he forget her whom she loves by giving up everything?A poem par excellence, Prasanna Sir.Congratulatios and regards.

Me trying to find someone for my road
To keep memory in your heart forever
I earnestly wish to have you by my side
Glide ahead in joyous stream of this life
Keep chanting & smiling like a free bird
Never let any grim thought tickle you
The road ahead is calling you aloud
Don’t ever look back and let’s proceed
This sombre night ‘ll pass as time ticks
Don’t let your hand slip away from mine
Call me back if you feel like losing again .

REVIEW.
=======
The poem,”Don’t Ever Look Back”,by the eminent poet Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai, is quite unique in which he gives vent to the ideality of his love.Trying with all his possibilities to find a life partner, he deems his beloved to be the only irreplaceable one.He promises to love her so much so that she can never erase him from her mind.Desiring closeness,he says:”I earnestly wish to have you by my side”Perhaps remaining away from him mean out of sight, out of mind.He exhorts her to go ahead in love gleefully without any doubts . The expression “free bird” hints that his love is not possessive. She will be given all latitude.”The road is calling aloud” indicate the poet’s dependency on her and once she has started loving, there should be a decidedness. In the poet’s words: Don’t ever look back and let us proceed “”The sombre night ” implies the dilemma she harbours in her mind about her future, which the poet asserts to be over after she comes to walk hand in hand.He being the fittest candidate in this selfish world, moving away from him will spell disaster for her.Sliping away from his hand will make her slip in roads of life. The word “chant” in the poem reveal the sacred nature of love one hardly comes by .congratulations and respect Prasanna Sir for contributing such a beautiful poem to the field of literature.

Analysis of Prof. Dr. Nirakar Dash’s Review
In his review of “Don’t Ever Look Back,” Prof. Dr. Nirakar Dash offers a profound analysis that delves into the emotional and thematic core of Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem. Dr. Dash begins by highlighting the unique nature of the poem, emphasizing its exploration of the ideality of love. He aptly captures the poet’s quest for a life partner, noting the earnest wish for everlasting closeness expressed in the line, “I earnestly wish to have you by my side.”
Dr. Dash’s interpretation of the metaphor “free bird” is particularly insightful, as it underscores the non-possessive nature of the poet’s love, portraying a relationship grounded in freedom and mutual respect. This observation aligns with the poem’s overall tone of encouragement and support, urging the beloved to proceed in life with confidence and joy.
The reviewer also draws attention to the poet’s sense of dependency and commitment, evident in the line, “The road is calling aloud.” This highlights the poet’s belief in the decisive nature of love, advocating for a forward-looking approach without hesitation. Dr. Dash’s interpretation of “The sombre night” as a representation of the beloved’s internal dilemmas is poignant, suggesting that these uncertainties will be resolved through mutual support and togetherness.
Moreover, Dr. Dash underscores the sacred nature of love, as implied by the word “chant,” signifying a rare and profound connection. His review eloquently conveys the poem’s message of unwavering support and companionship, affirming that slipping away from such a bond would lead to a profound loss.
In conclusion, Prof. Dr. Nirakar Dash’s review is a testament to his analytical acumen and deep appreciation for poetic nuances. His thoughtful and thorough examination of Dr. Dalai’s poem not only enhances our understanding but also celebrates the beauty and depth of literary expression.

She could never live life without him…
HAPPINESS AWAITS US AHEAD!
I spent most of my life searching for you
The one who would always fill my heart
I would be thrilled to have you by my side
I long to live a happy and joyous life with you
without this dimness of sorrow or loneliness
I have heard the road ahead calling me
It is clear that the voice that calls is yours
I’ll run this race with you and never look back
and these nights of darkness will be behind us
Not ever will I let my hand slip from yours
For time in this life is ticking away
and I don’t want to lose the one
I was meant to walk this life with
Happiness awaits us ahead…
