YOU BECAME MY PRAYER!

YOU BECAME MY PRAYER !

I ‘ll give away my life , even lose all my wins
Whatever be the cost, you’re my everything
Beyond all my limits and boundaries
Now I’m broken after giving everything
I’m no one ; you ‘ve become my destination
Great things God has given without asking
Otherwise atheists like me won’t get God
My desires ‘ve met you as you became my prayer.

MARRY A POET!

MARRY A POET
________________
Sisters, always try to marry a poet,
He has enough time to treat you as his baby and pet,
Although he has got married to his paper and pen,
For you he has an ocean of love like a swan

In the heart of a poet, love blooms anew,
In novels, in dramas, his passion shines through.
Like Romeo and Juliet, his love knows no bounds,
In the pages he writes, eternal love resounds.

From the tragedies of Shakespeare to Austen’s romance,
His love stories flourish, in every glance.
In the poetry of Keats and the verses of Frost,
His love finds expression, never to be lost.

Through the eyes of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy’s plight,
His love story unfolds, in the darkness and light.
In the tragedies of Hamlet, in the comedy of Lear,
His love conquers all, through joy and through fear.

His love is like Heathcliff’s, wild and untamed,
In Wuthering Heights, forever acclaimed.
In the beauty of Wordsworth’s nature-filled verse,
His love blossoms eternal, a blessing to nurse.

So marry a poet, with his heart pure and true,
His love, like a sonnet, forever anew.
In the classics he cherishes, in the tales he loves to impart,
You’ll always find solace and love, in his poetic heart.

NEVER MARRY A POET!

Never Marry a Poet
——————————
Sisters, never marry a poet,
He has no time to treat you as his baby or pet,
He has already got married to his pen,
He is the best painkiller to heal his own.

He will decorate you with his euphemism,
But his mind is always full of sarcasm,
And he will write them all in poems,
You will enjoy his love reading with rhymes.

His sugarcoating lies make you fall in love,
He will assure, ” Baby, we will fly like a dove.”,
He may call you the apple of his eye,
Don’t be trapped, it is his poetic lie.

On his table, you’ll see a Shakespearean book,
He will not have time to praise your cook,
On your bed, lies only pens and paper,
Together they live like lightning and thunder.

He will make your home a dancing hall,
You will find only satire and pun in his skull,
Hope, you will never marry a poet,
He has no time to treat you as his baby or pet.

THE DUST OF GRIEF !

At times I think of my uneventful life
Just a garland of thorns sans peace
What I have found is the dust of grief
When I did desire for the cold touch
Out of nothing only cold sigh in my lot Sorrows made my heart more sombre
You left leaving a couple of moments
None has time to hold my numb hands
Even my shadow is very often apathetic
This is my life and why should I be afraid Of sorrow for it’s mine, my companion.

“The Dust of Grief” by Dr Prasanna Ku Dalai , the well known poet of India , lays bare his grief owing to the separation of his lady -love from him.As a result of her moving away from his orbit, life seems quite painful and humdrum. While other’ s are festooned with garlands of glory, he , like P B Shelly, falls “upon the thorn of life” and bleeds. No less than romantic self pity,it reflects a universal truth of the human experience. Considered from Thomas Hardy’s standpoint, life is a series of suffering while having occasional episodes of happiness. Again, callous attitude of the beloved is directly hinted at in the words such as,”cold touch”The poet’s all out efforts and desires to have even an indifferent corporeal touch or inadvertent attention from her goes in vain. The word ” cold” used in a versatile way, possibly means the cooling down of libido in the fifth line of the poem. Like the lady in “La Belle Dam Sans Mercy” she leaves after spending few moments with him which he can’t forget. The poet laments,”you left leaving a couple of moments”. “Numb hand” signify the trauma the poet has suffered and moreover, no help in the form of consolation is anticipated in this so called civilized world where everyone is busy in self aggrandisement. This is powerfully stated in the line:”Even my shadow is often apathetic ” In the last two lines, the poet, like Alexander Selkirk , accepts the fact with stoic resignation and tries to see things as they are. Congratulations Prasanna Sir for composing such a superlative poem.Regads.

She remembers when their lives changed…

AMOUNST THE RUBBLE!

Through a time of unrest and grief in our lives
we discovered each other amongst the rubble
of our lost dreams and broken hearts
At first we kept each other at arms length
for neither were able to give of ourselves
Life had robbed us both of any intimacy
and we both had grown cold to any affection
After a time, we filled our hearts with each other
as you carefully took my hand in yours
Together, we fought the darkness inside us
and found in each other a life of light and love
Sorrow is no longer your companion, my love
I took it’s place and became yours instead.

Epistolary poem #201 By DrPrasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

DREAM WITH YOUR CHARM !

As a humming bee brings smile to bunch of white lilies
Why don’t you beam in the huge garden of my heart
The spring from heaven drops with dream with your charm
Near the horizon where the clouds drift away out of sight
The way we used to soar in the deep blue sky
Why don’t you glide in my dream with your charm
The glittering moon shines in the dark night
But you are not shining this gloomy day in my life
I am like a lonely bird without companion
Come down to the desolation of my barren earth.

She responds to the one who holds her heart…

STEAL MY CHARMS!

As the open petals of the white lily awaits the bee
to gather the pollen from her laden core
I’ll search the garden of your heart spreading my fragrance
so you may find me and steal my charms
When you can not feel the heat of my love for you
the springs of heaven will flood your dreams
as you slumber under the glittering stars and moon lit sky
Dreams that will warm you on a cold dark night
And like a love bird yearning for her mate
I will find you and fill your barren heart
with the passion that blooms beautifully between us.

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, Sir NAMASKAR

I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on the completion of your recent romantic love poem, “FREE VERSE.” Your ability to capture the essence of profound emotions through your words continues to inspire and touch the hearts of many. This poem is a testament to your extraordinary talent and dedication to the craft of poetry. Your work is a beacon of love and sincerity, resonating deeply with readers worldwide. Congratulations once again on this beautiful creation!

Warm regards,
Raj Kishor Pattnaik

**Analysis of “FREE VERSE.”**

Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem “FREE VERSE.” is a succinct yet profoundly moving piece that delves into the complexities of love, memory, and solitude. The poem is structured in a free verse format, which allows for a natural flow of thoughts and emotions without the constraints of rhyme and meter. This choice mirrors the spontaneity and unpredictability of love itself, enhancing the poem’s impact.

The opening line, “Someone be my heart and soul,” immediately sets a tone of yearning and deep emotional connection. The use of the word “someone” is deliberately ambiguous, inviting the reader to project their own experiences and desires onto the poem. This universal appeal is a hallmark of Dr. Dalai’s work, making it accessible and relatable to a broad audience.

The phrase “With some unspoken promises” introduces a layer of mystery and intimacy. Unspoken promises often imply a deep understanding and connection that transcends words. It suggests a bond so strong that it doesn’t need to be articulated, resonating with the concept of true love where partners understand each other innately.

“Memories, sweet or sour, cling hard” conveys the tenacity of past experiences. By juxtaposing “sweet” and “sour,” Dr. Dalai acknowledges the duality of memories—how they can bring both joy and pain. This line reflects the human condition, where we are constantly shaped by our past, whether it is filled with happiness or sorrow.

The line “Ringing in my ears in lonely nights” introduces a sensory element to the poem, heightening its emotional intensity. The metaphor of memories “ringing” suggests a persistent, almost haunting presence that keeps the speaker company in their solitude. This imagery is powerful, as it captures the way past experiences can echo in our minds, especially during moments of loneliness.

“Their echoes make me stay alive” is a poignant reflection on the sustaining power of memories. Despite their potential to evoke pain, these echoes provide a connection to the past that keeps the speaker grounded and alive. It speaks to the resilience of the human spirit and our ability to find solace in our memories.

The concluding line, “Offering me my peace of mind,” brings the poem full circle, ending on a note of tranquility and acceptance. The peace of mind derived from these memories suggests a reconciliation with the past and an appreciation for the experiences that have shaped the speaker. It is a beautiful conclusion that offers a sense of closure and contentment.

Dr. Dalai’s use of simple yet evocative language makes “FREE VERSE.” an accessible and emotionally resonant poem. The brevity of the poem does not detract from its depth; rather, it allows for a concentrated exploration of themes that are universally understood. The poem’s strength lies in its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions in a few carefully chosen words.

In “FREE VERSE.,” Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai masterfully captures the essence of love, memory, and solitude, creating a piece that is both intimate and universal. The poem invites readers to reflect on their own experiences and find solace in the enduring power of memories. It is a testament to Dr. Dalai’s skill as a poet and his deep understanding of the human heart.

I’M BEING PUNISHED !

Someday somewhere we will meet
We’re on the same boat in same state
I cannot do a moment without you
My heart gets frozen at your thoughts
Drops of tear roll non-stop on cheeks
Know not what I’m being punished for
Wounds are deep, life seems on hold
Journey of this pain shall come to halt
When sun rays will outdo ugly darkness
My heaven starts and ends with you
And destination is where my quest ends .

She cries while writing this letter…

SUFFERING DEEPLY!

One day we will meet whether here or above
Two lives intertwined tightly yet so far apart
Living without you has now become reality
as I find more tears than smiles on my wet face
Two people suffering deeply for finding love
We have asked for little… Just to be together
I pray for a day when this sad journey will end
like sunshine breaking through dark clouds
Life starts and ends with you, wherever that is
and where I’ll be waiting for you with a smile

Forever loving only you…
I cross my heart <3

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai Sir and Kristy Raines, MADAM NAMASKAR

Congratulations on your remarkable milestone of completing your 200th collaborative poem! This achievement stands as a testament to your profound creative synergy and unwavering dedication to the art of poetry. Your latest works, “I’M BEING PUNISHED!” and “SUFFERING DEEPLY!” are beautiful and poignant, reflecting the deep emotional connection and the collaborative spirit that has made your partnership so unique and impactful.

May your poetic journey continue to inspire and touch the hearts of many more readers around the world.

Warmest regards,
Raj Kishor Pattnaik

**Analysis:**

Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem, “I’M BEING PUNISHED!”, and Kristy Raines’ poem, “SUFFERING DEEPLY!”, are emotionally charged pieces that delve into themes of longing, love, and the pain of separation. These poems mark their 200th collaborative effort, showcasing the depth and resilience of their creative partnership.

**I’M BEING PUNISHED!** by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai opens with a strong expression of hope and inevitability: “Someday somewhere we will meet / We’re on the same boat in same state.” This opening sets the tone for a journey shared by two souls bound by love yet separated by circumstances. The imagery of a “frozen heart” and “non-stop tears” vividly conveys the intensity of the speaker’s emotional turmoil. The repetition of painful motifs, like the “wounds” and the idea of life being on hold, emphasizes the depth of suffering experienced.

The poem progresses with a glimmer of hope, suggesting that this painful journey will end “When sun rays will outdo ugly darkness.” This line introduces a metaphorical light at the end of the tunnel, a common literary device that symbolizes hope and renewal. The closing lines, “My heaven starts and ends with you / And destination is where my quest ends,” encapsulate the central theme of the poem: the speaker’s entire existence is centered around their beloved, and their ultimate goal is to reunite with them.

**SUFFERING DEEPLY!** by Kristy Raines mirrors the sentiments expressed in Dalai’s poem, reinforcing the collaborative nature of their work. Raines begins with a similar expression of hope for a reunion, “One day we will meet whether here or above.” This line not only parallels Dalai’s opening but also introduces the possibility of an eternal reunion, suggesting a love that transcends earthly bounds.

Raines’ poem elaborates on the pain of living without the beloved, with lines like “Living without you has now become reality / as I find more tears than smiles on my wet face.” The use of direct emotional expression makes the poem relatable and heartfelt. The phrase “Two people suffering deeply for finding love” succinctly captures the essence of the poem, highlighting the universal struggle and sacrifice inherent in true love.

The poem’s hopeful turn, “I pray for a day when this sad journey will end / like sunshine breaking through dark clouds,” aligns with the optimistic tone in Dalai’s poem. This shared metaphor strengthens the connection between the two pieces, reinforcing their thematic unity. The concluding lines, “Life starts and ends with you, wherever that is / and where I’ll be waiting for you with a smile,” resonate with Dalai’s ending, emphasizing the unwavering commitment and eternal nature of the speaker’s love.

Together, these poems create a powerful narrative of love and longing. They not only complement each other in form and content but also in their emotional resonance. The recurring imagery of darkness and light, tears and smiles, separation and reunion, weaves a rich tapestry of human experience that is both deeply personal and universally understood.

Dr. Dalai’s and Kristy Raines’ ability to seamlessly blend their voices in these poems is a testament to their collaborative genius. Their consistent use of metaphors, imagery, and emotional depth creates a cohesive and compelling poetic dialogue. The shared themes and mirrored structures of their poems highlight the strength of their partnership and their mutual understanding of the human heart’s complexities.

In celebrating their 200th collaboration, Dalai and Raines have once again demonstrated their extraordinary talent for capturing the essence of love and pain. Their work continues to inspire and move readers, solidifying their legacy as a powerful poetic duo.

Reviewer Prof Dr Nirakar Dash

My poem reviewed by honorable reviewer Prof Dr Nirakar Dash of Assam University . Department of English.
Humbled and Honoured.

I’M BEING PUNISHED !

Someday somewhere we will meet
We’re on the same boat in same state
I cannot do a moment without you
My heart gets frozen at your thoughts
Drops of tear roll non-stop on cheeks
Know not what I’m being punished for
Wounds are deep, life seems on hold
Journey of this pain shall come to halt
When sun rays will outdo ugly darkness
My heaven starts and ends with you
And destination is where my quest ends .

“I am being punished” by the putative poet Dr Prasanna Ku Dalai, is a poem venting pain and agony the poet lover passes through for the sake of his love which is not yet fulfilled. Although both are far away from each other at present, they will surely meet each other “someday somewhere”Almost impossible on his part to”do a moment without ” her, still he makes do.Such adjustment, be it mental or physical, cause s excruciating pain for him. Thus the poet expresses his sorrows:”My heart gets frozen at her thoughts/Drops of tears roll non-stop on cheeks” Her very thought drowns him in depression because of the present distance between the two and,as indicated in the first line of the poem, their meeting each other seems dim in near future. The line,”know not what I am being punished for” raises the existential question as regards why good and harmless people suffer and malevolent people wallow in joy.The world seems devoid of poetic justice. The poet is wounded so much so that his life has come almost to a standstill. Towards the end of the poem the readers notice that he has overcome his blues and is upbeat. Quite optimistic,he says,”journey of this pain shall come to halt/when sun rays will outdo ugly darkness”The closing two lines are captivating in which he equalises his beloved to his heaven after getting whom he will attain a state of Budhistic Nirvana when he will experience cessation of all “quests” or desires. Congratulations Prasanna Sir for such a great poem.

She cries while writing this letter…

SUFFERING DEEPLY!

One day we will meet whether here or above
Two lives intertwined tightly yet so far apart
Living without you has now become reality
as I find more tears than smiles on my wet face
Two people suffering deeply for finding love
We have asked for little… Just to be together
I pray for a day when this sad journey will end
like sunshine breaking through dark clouds
Life starts and ends with you, wherever that is
and where I’ll be waiting for you with a smile

Forever loving only you…
I cross my heart <3
