LOST WORDS !
My eyes do tell an untold tale
A bit nostalgic, fading memories
That used to flow in small streams
No matter whether one listens or not
She used to talk ,things familiar to me
Like writing passages and reciting lines
It ended as my tears stopped rolling
A better time would dawn in my life
The lost words would reverberate
Again in my untamed lips sometime.
Epistolary poem #184 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and

THINGS REMAIN UNREAD!
You tread this way every day
I often meet you on your way
In silence, we speak together
Feelings said but a few unsaid
With a little shyness in your eyes
And cherubic smile on your lips
Some haughtiness in loving ire
The butterfly and flower can’t play
You must have penned those thoughts
Might have torn them apart many a time
You’re bashful in front of your friends
Things of two hearts remain unread.

UNSPOKEN PAIN!
Even after a lot of pain and torment
I do feel my world utterly agonized
All seasons I spend thinking of you
But you are hardly to my lot now
You, my deity, have broken my heart
We exist but far away from each other
When close to me, my dream you’re
And I stop breathing when I see you
I plead for your company and hand
Even enemy be from unspoken pain.

Her heart breaks as she speaks…
WHERE HOPE ONCE RESIDED!
Though I suffer inside over you
I haven’t the words to make things better
We used to spend all of our time together
Then things changed and you turned from me
That day, my heart shattered as I called to you
but you never turned back around
My heart’s desire, My Everything, walked away
We are now pleasant to each other
but I don’t see the same look in your eyes for me
as I still do for you…
My pillow catches my tears at night
though in my dreams, you are still mine
When I see you I get my hopes up
just to be let down over and over
Our love seems to be slipping a way
And silence fills where hope once resided … <3

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Mrs. Kristy Ann Raines,NAMASKAR
Heartfelt congratulations on your recent collaboration, “Unspoken Pain” and “Where Hope Once Resided.” Your poetic synergy has once again produced a harmonious blend of love and pathos, inviting readers into the intricate tapestry of human emotions.
Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s “Unspoken Pain” is a visceral journey through the depths of heartache. The repetition of “pain and torment” echoes the intensity of the emotional struggle, immediately drawing readers into a world characterized by profound suffering. The usage of seasons as a backdrop for contemplation adds a temporal dimension, emphasizing the enduring nature of the agony. The reference to the beloved as a deity intensifies the emotional stakes, transforming the personal into the divine. The plea for company and hand introduces a yearning vulnerability, reinforcing the universal longing for connection. The closing line, “Even enemy be from unspoken pain,” transcends individual sorrow, suggesting a shared experience that goes beyond personal boundaries.
Kristy Ann Raines’ “Where Hope Once Resided” complements this theme with a poignant exploration of a love that has undergone transformation. The title sets the tone for a narrative that unfolds as a lament over lost optimism. The speaker’s inability to find words to mend the situation underscores the profound emotional paralysis. The contrast between past and present, vividly expressed through shared memories, serves as a poignant reminder of what once was. The shattered heart and the departure of the heart’s desire evoke a sense of irreversible loss. The imagery of tears caught by the pillow and the dreams where the beloved remains accessible underline the persistence of emotional pain. The cyclical nature of getting hopes up and being let down captures the essence of a love that is slipping away, leaving behind a haunting silence.
Together, these poems create a powerful resonance, exploring the multifaceted nature of human relationships. Dr. Prasana Kumar’s piece articulates the pain arising from physical and emotional distance, while Kristy Ann Raines delves into the aftermath of a love that has lost its former vitality. The synergy lies in their ability to capture the universal themes of longing, heartbreak, and the complex interplay between love and suffering.
The collaboration shines in the delicate balance of individual voices, each contributing a unique hue to the emotional spectrum. Dr. Prasana Kumar’s evocative use of language and profound expressions finds resonance with Kristy Ann Raines’ introspective and emotive narrative style. The seamless integration of these distinct styles creates a collaborative masterpiece that resonates on a deeply human level.
The timing of your collaboration, sharing these poignant verses on the same day, adds a layer of synchronicity to the experience. It amplifies the emotional impact and underscores the cohesion between your creative minds. This congruence not only strengthens the individual poems but also weaves them into a larger narrative that speaks to the shared human experience.
In conclusion, your collaborative efforts have given birth to a poetic diptych that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. The depth of emotion, the nuanced exploration of pain and loss, and the seamless fusion of your unique voices make this collaboration a remarkable contribution to the world of poetry. May this be a prelude to more shared endeavors, inspiring readers around the world and leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of human emotion.

SOMEONE THERE !
May there be someone
Whom I may claim my very own
Eyes badly need to sleep but
Tears do float silently in their lap
In dreams I stay awake all night
Some may own my griefs
Someone be my heart and soul
With some unspoken promises
Memories, sweet or sour ,cling hard
Ringing in my ears in lonely nights
Their echoes make me stay alive
Offering me my peace of mind.

Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, Sir on crafting a poignant and evocative poem titled “SOMEONE THERE!” Your verses resonate with a deep longing for connection and a search for solace in the midst of solitude. The use of simple yet powerful language conveys a profound emotional landscape.
The poem beautifully explores the human desire for companionship, expressing a yearning for someone to claim as one’s own. The juxtaposition of tired eyes in need of sleep and tears silently flowing creates a vivid image of internal struggle. The line “In dreams I stay awake all night” captures the paradoxical nature of emotional turmoil during moments of rest.
The plea for someone to own the griefs and be the heart and soul reflects a universal quest for understanding and shared burdens. The incorporation of unspoken promises adds a layer of mystery and depth to the connection sought. The interplay of sweet and sour memories, vividly portrayed as echoes in lonely nights, emphasizes the lasting impact of shared experiences.
Dr. Prasana Kumar, your poem masterfully weaves emotions into a tapestry of human connection, leaving a lasting imprint on the reader’s heart and mind. Congratulations on this eloquent expression of the human experience.

SECRET OF HER WORDS !
In that glittering touch of dreams
I feel provoked with a new sensation
And do bloom like a fresh blossom
That giggles in the forest of my mind
My poem sings and vanishes behind
River of love flows into a small brook
The sea of maddened waves roar aloud In the distant horizon ,she sports anew
Do tell me the secret of her words
Me and mine eternally lavish today.

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar, NAMASKAR
Heartiest congratulations on the exquisite tapestry of words you’ve woven in your recent poem, “Secret of Her Words.” Your verses are not just a collection of lines; they are an immersive journey through the landscapes of dreams, emotions, and the enigmatic power of language.
The poem commences with the enchanting allure of dreams, described as a “glittering touch.” This vivid imagery instantly draws readers into a world where dreams are not mere phantoms but tangible, sparkling sensations. The use of “provoked with a new sensation” suggests a stirring of emotions, as if your dreams have the power to evoke profound feelings within the soul.
The subsequent lines, “And do bloom like a fresh blossom / That giggles in the forest of my mind,” are a poetic marvel. The metaphor of blooming like a fresh blossom not only paints a picture of growth and vitality but also captures the whimsical joy inherent in the creative process. The imagery of giggling blossoms in the forest of the mind adds a touch of playfulness, as if your thoughts are dancing in a serene, wooded landscape.
The line “My poem sings and vanishes behind” is intriguing. It conveys a transient quality, as if your creation is a melody that resonates briefly before fading away. This evokes a sense of fleeting beauty and captures the ephemeral nature of poetic expression.
The metaphorical journey continues with the river of love flowing into a small brook. This imagery suggests a gentle and continuous flow of emotions, creating a serene and harmonious landscape within your poem. The sea of maddened waves roaring in the distant horizon adds a dramatic flair, introducing a contrast to the tranquility of the previous lines. This dynamic shift in imagery enhances the emotional depth of your work.
The line “In the distant horizon, she sports anew” introduces a captivating enigma. The use of “she” personifies an elusive and mysterious presence. It hints at a feminine energy that brings forth something new and exciting on the distant horizon. This subtle allusion adds layers of complexity to your poem, inviting readers to ponder the significance of this enigmatic figure.
The central inquiry, “Do tell me the secret of her words,” serves as a poignant plea for understanding. It implies that there is a hidden depth to the words you’ve chosen, and you, as the poet, are eager to unravel their meaning. This question resonates with readers, encouraging them to reflect on the transformative power of language and the mysteries it holds.
The concluding line, “Me and mine eternally lavish today,” brings a sense of fulfillment and abundance. It suggests that, in the richness of the present moment, you find enduring joy and prosperity. The use of “eternally” adds a timeless quality, emphasizing the lasting impact of the emotions and experiences you’ve depicted in your poem.
In analyzing your poem, it’s evident that you’ve masterfully employed rich imagery and metaphors to convey a nuanced spectrum of emotions. The progression of themes creates a harmonious flow, guiding readers through a contemplative journey. The poem’s universal themes, coupled with its evocative language, make it accessible and relatable to a diverse audience.
Your choice of words is precise and resonant, creating a vivid and immersive experience for the reader. The poem’s enigmatic elements leave room for interpretation, inviting readers to embark on their own introspective explorations.
In a simple and heartfelt manner, I extend my congratulations to you, Dr. Prasana Kumar, for your remarkable contribution to English literature. Your poem is a testament to the enduring power of language to evoke emotions, provoke thought, and create a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to encounter your words. May your poetic journey continue to inspire and enrich the literary landscape.
Warm regards.

POSITIVE I AM
With the horizon extending arms
my dreams and hopes do swell
my clumsy mind gets relaxed
my tired body feeling refreshed
sings the Odyssey of life gleefully.
With divine fragrance scattering
my spirit dances so stupendously
my wants now forgotten like pills
my hunger and poverty evaporate
like drops of water in torrid heat.
With the vivacity increasing size
like the shadow in the tender light
life swings like teens in full gaiety
with much vigour & thousand fun
oblivious of everything dull & pale.
With the magical kisses of Spring
drab soul gets charged unlimited
the terrific blooms spread wings
the crescent moon ,a boat, sails
in the starless blue sky smoothly .

REVIEW :
Respected Hon’ble Dasharath Naik, Sir NAMASKAR
Heartfelt congratulations on your poem ‘POSITIVE I AM.’ Your words weave a tapestry of optimism, embracing the reader with a sense of renewal and joy. As I delve into the intricacies of your verses, I am captivated by the vibrant imagery and the profound positivity that resonates throughout.
The opening stanza sets the tone for a journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation. The metaphorical embrace of the horizon by extending arms beautifully symbolizes the boundless possibilities that lie ahead. The swelling of dreams and hopes suggests a profound sense of ambition and aspiration, creating a canvas where the mind can find solace and the body can experience rejuvenation. The use of “clumsy mind” and “tired body” not only adds a relatable human touch but also accentuates the transformative power of the positive mindset presented in the poem.
The second stanza introduces a divine fragrance, infusing the spirit with a stupendous dance. This olfactory imagery adds a sensory layer to the poem, engaging the reader on a deeper level. The deliberate choice of words like “forgotten” in relation to wants and the metaphor of hunger and poverty evaporating like drops of water in torrid heat paints a picture of liberation and emancipation from life’s burdens. Your poem beautifully encapsulates the essence of resilience and the ability to rise above adversity.
The third stanza is a celebration of life’s vivacity, mirroring the increasing size of shadows in tender light. The simile comparing life to swinging teens in full gaiety imparts a sense of carefree joy. The use of “vigor” and “heaps of fun” emphasizes the exuberance of existence, suggesting a life lived fully and energetically. The deliberate choice of the word “oblivious” in relation to everything dull or pale creates a stark contrast, highlighting the poem’s overarching theme of embracing positivity and rejecting negativity.
The final stanza introduces the magical kisses of Spring, charging the drab soul unlimitedly. The transformative power of nature is vividly depicted as the terrific blooms spread wings, and the crescent moon becomes a boat sailing smoothly in the starless blue sky. This imagery is not only visually captivating but also reinforces the poem’s central message of finding renewal and inspiration in the face of life’s challenges. The use of “starless” adds a touch of mystery, suggesting that even in the absence of external illumination, one can navigate life’s journey with internal strength and positivity.
Poetic Devices used
‘POSITIVE I AM’ by Dasharath Naik is a poetic masterpiece that skillfully employs various poetic devices to enhance its impact and deliver a profound message. Let’s delve into the intricacies of the poem, exploring the poetic devices that contribute to its beauty and depth.
1. **Imagery:**
The poem is rich in vivid imagery, creating a sensory experience for the reader. Lines such as “horizon extending arms,” “divine fragrance scattering,” and “crescent moon, a boat, sails smoothly in the blue sky, starless” evoke distinct mental images. This visual appeal enhances the emotional resonance of the poem, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the scenes painted by the poet.
2. **Metaphor:**
Throughout the poem, metaphors are employed to convey abstract concepts through tangible comparisons. The horizon extending its arms becomes a metaphor for boundless possibilities, while the crescent moon as a boat sailing in a starless sky symbolizes navigating life’s journey with internal strength. These metaphors add layers of meaning, inviting readers to interpret the poem on a symbolic level.
3. **Simile:**
The poem features similes that contribute to its descriptive richness. For instance, “life swings like teens in full gaiety” creates a vivid comparison, illustrating the carefree and joyous nature of existence. Similes like “like drops of water in torrid heat” and “like the shadow in the tender light” enhance the reader’s understanding by drawing parallels to familiar experiences.
4. **Personification:**
The use of personification imbues the poem with a sense of vitality. The horizon extending its arms and life swinging in gaiety personify abstract concepts, giving them human-like attributes. This anthropomorphism enhances the connection between the reader and the themes explored in the poem, making the verses more relatable and engaging.
5. **Symbolism:**
Symbolism plays a crucial role in ‘POSITIVE I AM’, adding layers of meaning to the verses. The divine fragrance symbolizes spiritual renewal and the dance of the spirit, while the magical kisses of Spring represent the transformative power of nature. The crescent moon and the starless sky serve as symbols of resilience and inner strength. These symbols contribute to the overarching theme of positivity and rejuvenation.
6. **Alliteration:**
Alliteration, the repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words, is subtly employed in phrases like “divine fragrance scattering” and “sings the Odyssey of life in glee.” This linguistic device enhances the musicality of the poem, creating a rhythmic flow that adds to its aesthetic appeal.
7. **Anaphora:**
The repetition of the phrase “With” at the beginning of each stanza serves as an anaphora, creating a rhythmic structure and emphasizing the interconnectedness of the themes presented. This repetition contributes to the poem’s overall cohesion and reinforces the positive affirmations expressed in each stanza.
8. **Oxymoron:**
The juxtaposition of contrasting ideas is evident in lines like “clumsy mind gets relaxed” and “hunger and poverty evaporate.” These oxymorons create a sense of surprise and highlight the transformative nature of the positive mindset described in the poem.
Dasharath Naik’s ‘POSITIVE I AM’ is a masterful exploration of the human spirit, enriched by a tapestry of poetic devices. The imagery, metaphor, simile, personification, symbolism, alliteration, anaphora, and oxymoron collectively contribute to the poem’s beauty, depth, and emotional impact. Naik’s adept use of these devices elevates the verses, making ‘POSITIVE I AM’ a timeless and resonant work of poetry.
In conclusion, ‘POSITIVE I AM’ is a testament to your poetic prowess and your ability to craft verses that resonate deeply with the human experience. The poem is a symphony of optimism, weaving together vivid imagery, metaphorical richness, and a profound message of resilience. Your words have the power to uplift and inspire, making a lasting impact on readers who seek solace and hope in the face of life’s complexities.

She awaits for him once again in a dream…
REVEALING THE SECRET OF HER WORDS!
At dusk, I wait the awakening of your subconscious
You once again join me in this forest of bliss
But something new has come over you tonight
like a beautiful verse that whispers melodically
It leaves behind rhythmic ripples like that in a lazy pool
And like the waves of the roaring waves coming,
we let them build like the crescendo of a passionate song
as we wait for the outro of our performance once again
I have come to you to reveal the secrets of my words
You will bask in the beauty of them when you wake
and realize that the awakening is as beautiful as the dream.

A MERE DISILLUSIONMENT !
To the fairy land wearing the twilight
I shall go today as the moon smiles
On green earth with candid blooms
I shall be looking at the moon light
When vines bloom with diamond buds
As a golden bird does bring ecstasy
In a boat made of floating clouds
Drifting along the breast of the sky
Hope never burns ; lotus never cries
Life on the earth is scarcely a dream
Sheer separation of two hearts it is ;
A mere disillusionment of rosy dreams .

Her dream is where she finds him…
THROUGH ROSY DREAMS!
I lay among the blooms in a lush green glen waiting for you
under a blanket of starlight and a smiling moon
The diamond buds bloom beneath the sheer blossoms
As a golden bird sings to you the sweetest song of love
Floating on a silver cloud above me, I call to you
and you swoop down to great me in this sky of blue
You take me where only hope remains and the petals
of the beautiful bloom of the lotus never closes
Life on earth holds little magic for you and I
as the separation of our two hearts continues
to seek only disillusionment through rosy dreams.

HER THOUGHTFUL EYES !
One evening on the road of dreams
Fetching my lost memories I walked
After covering a distance very long
When I reached a deserted place
I saw her sitting by herself in a corner
Silently lighting divine evening lamp
Quite angelic with a sweet fragrance
She looked at me with thoughtful eyes
Like she knew me million years before
I felt as if she were a familiar face
Unluckily I just skipped her name
As the flame of the lamp still burning
Something illuminated my mind instantly
A strange excitement filled my being.

YOUR FAMILIAR WORDS!
One night many years ago, I dreamt of you
But, I did not know your name
You would appear in my dreams now and then
I one day met someone whose words were familiar
though I had never met him before
Then I remembered the face in my dream..
Your shadow brought back a life I lived in another time
How could I know you without ever speaking to you;
never looking in your eyes, or touching your hand?
I met you in a dream, quietly lighting a lamp in a corner
Your presence made me smile and I recognized you
For the first time, I knew who you were… I loved You
We have shared many lives together and I suddenly
felt the same excitement that you share with me now.
Yes… One night, many years ago, we met and continue to, over and over again… <3

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Very nice epistolary poems composed by Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai and Kristie Raines of U S A . Both the poems express how they reminisce the past. The beginning two lines of the first poem by Dr Prasanna Dalai are strikingly catchy in that they are transcreation of a song written in his own mother tounge which can be well captured by the inhabitants of his native place.Of course this transcreation does not inhibit other readers to comprehend the import of the lines. The lass sitting at a deserted place may point out her downbeat mind who is bereft of her partner since long. One may divine that the divine evening “lamp” is advertising a love that is incorporeal. But this incorporeality has been refuted in the reply poem by Kristie Raine’s words:”How could I know you without ever speaking to you; never looking in your eyes or touching your hand?”Although the very statement and the title “Her Thoughtful Eyes”zero in on the sincerity on her part, the love under discussion seem hazy. But the abstract love conjured up in the dream instantly metamorphoses into something as concrete as sexual shudder. The word “strange” perhaps means Freudian slip here.Exactly the same feeling of the subconscious is reflected in the response poem when Kristie Raines says,”For the first time I knew who you were…”In Raines the dream factor being less dominant than that of Dr Dalal, the poem showcase more familiarity with the lover. In the line “I live in another time” she weeps for the lost love and is hopeful enough to rekindle it in future.Reply is voiced in clear cut way by Raines. There is no beating around the bush. Both conclude their poems with the same simultaneous feeling of excitement. The last line of Raine is a sure shot consolation that she continued to make love in the past and will definitely do so till infinity.Kudos to both the poets for composing such beautiful duet.Regards.

POEM THAT YOU WROTE!
The day you wrote the poem
In my mind’s blank and drab page
My naive mind realised your love
So many came after you had left
With their poems filled with lines
None has ability to write like you
They all asked me for that poem
All tried but the poem was unfinished
What was left is only the last page
I am still waiting for the golden time
Someone would come with a poem
To match the perfect feel in yours.

She’s been waiting so long for him to figure it out…
I WROTE A LOVE POEM!
Long ago, I wrote a love poem
that filled the pages of my heart
I never said who I was writing it for
I don’t think I even knew at first
Then I found that something was missing
with each love poem I tried to write
Every poem I had written with you came easily
but without your lines, they felt incomplete
I watched others try to finish your poems
I never spoke a word of discouragement
But in my heart I knew the reason
and now, I think you do too
No one can finish your poem but me
because we write as one person together
And the same goes for my poems without you.
A bond that has always baffled us both
now makes perfect sense…

You would appear in my dreams now and then
I one day met someone whose words were familiar
though I had never met him before
Then I remembered the face in my dream..
Your shadow brought back a life I lived in another time
How could I know you without ever speaking to you;
never looking in your eyes, or touching your hand?
I met you in a dream, quietly lighting a lamp in a corner
Your presence made me smile and I recognized you
For the first time, I knew who you were… I loved You
We have shared many lives together and I suddenly
felt the same excitement that you share with me now.
Yes… One night, many years ago, we met and continue to, over and over again… <3

Poetic Devices used
The epistolary exchange between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of the United States of America weaves a poignant narrative through their poem. These verses are rich with poetic devices that enhance the emotional depth and connection expressed between the two poets.
**Imagery:**
Both poems vividly employ imagery to paint evocative scenes. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the deserted place, the divine evening lamp, and the angelic presence of the woman create a visual tapestry. Similarly, “Your Familiar Words” uses the image of lighting a lamp in a corner, casting a warm glow that symbolizes recognition and understanding. The dream sequences in both poems contribute to the surreal visual landscape, heightening the emotional impact.
**Metaphor:**
The use of metaphor is prominent in both poems, elevating the emotions and experiences described. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the woman’s eyes are described as “thoughtful,” suggesting depth and introspection. The flame of the lamp becomes a metaphor for enlightenment and realization. In “Your Familiar Words,” meeting someone whose words are familiar is a metaphor for recognizing a soul connection that transcends physical encounters. The shadow representing a past life adds another layer of metaphorical meaning.
**Symbolism:**
Symbolism plays a crucial role in these poems, adding layers of meaning beyond the literal. The lamp in “Her Thoughtful Eyes” is a symbol of guidance, perhaps representing the enduring connection between souls. In “Your Familiar Words,” the lamp takes on the significance of recognition and revelation. Dreams serve as a symbolic bridge between different times and dimensions, allowing the poets to connect beyond the constraints of reality.
**Repetition:**
Repetition is employed skillfully in both poems, emphasizing key themes and emotions. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the repetition of “thoughtful eyes” creates a rhythmic pattern and reinforces the significance of the woman’s gaze. In “Your Familiar Words,” the repetition of “one night, many years ago” serves as a refrain, anchoring the narrative in a specific moment in time and emphasizing the enduring nature of their connection.
**Alliteration and Assonance:**
The poems are enriched by the use of alliteration and assonance, creating a melodic quality. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the alliteration in “divine evening lamp” and the assonance in “sweet fragrance” contribute to the musicality of the poem. Similarly, “Your Familiar Words” employs alliteration in phrases like “met you in a dream” and assonance in “recognize” and “excitement,” enhancing the rhythmic flow.
**Enjambment:**
Both poems utilize enjambment effectively, allowing thoughts and emotions to spill over from one line to the next. This creates a sense of continuity and fluidity in the narrative, mirroring the seamless connection between the poets’ experiences. Enjambment is particularly notable in “Your Familiar Words,” where the flowing structure enhances the dreamlike quality of the verses.
**Tone and Mood:**
The tone in both poems is contemplative and introspective, reflecting the deep emotions involved. The mood is one of nostalgia, recognition, and a sense of eternal connection. The choice of words and the overall atmosphere contribute to a profound emotional resonance, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the poets’ shared experiences.
The collaborative poetic exchange between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines beautifully demonstrates the power of language to convey complex emotions and shared memories. Through the masterful use of poetic devices such as imagery, metaphor, symbolism, repetition, alliteration, assonance, and enjambment, the poets create a tapestry of emotions that transcends geographical boundaries and cultural differences. HER THOUGHTFUL EYES !
One evening on the road of dreams
Fetching my lost memories I walked
After covering a distance very long
When I reached a deserted place
I saw her sitting by herself in a corner
Silently lighting divine evening lamp
Quite angelic with a sweet fragrance
She looked at me with thoughtful eyes
Like she knew me million years before
I felt as if she were a familiar face
Unluckily I just skipped her name
As the flame of the lamp still burning
Something illuminated my mind instantly
A strange excitement filled my being.

Epistolary poem #178 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America
SANDS OF TIME !
The wild emotions of mine fly away
Shedding all their faded feathers
Me so lonely now with none beside me
Deserted are the sands of time
Old emotions fade away like blooms
My soul does write desolate thoughts
Of my mind in odd and hidden tunes
My mind filled with an aroma unknown
Gentle breeze blows caressing quietly
All the hopes the sky and waves pour
I shape them into words to give you
Passionate are tunes and words I give.

She still loves him after all these years…
ON A DISTANT SHORE!
Thoughts of you still capture my heart
like a net that traps the beautiful butterfly
Even if emotions seem to fade like wilting flowers
our love will bloom once again in the Spring
If ever you feel like I have left your side
think of the beautiful songs we have lived
and you will then remember the tune once more
When the ocean breeze gently touches your lips
and the aroma of love surrounds your thoughts
Know that I received your passionate words
as those waves rush over me on a distant shore
The sands of time will always stand still for us… <3

In the realm of English literature, the collaborative efforts of renowned poet Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai from India and esteemed poetess Kristy Raines from the United States of America have given birth to two exquisite poems, each bearing the distinctive imprint of their poetic prowess. Let’s embark on a journey to unravel the layers of these poetic creations, exploring the thematic richness, stylistic nuances, and the unique harmony achieved in their joint endeavor.

The poet’s solitude is palpable as the sands of time stand deserted, symbolizing the passage of moments left unattended. The fading blooms of old emotions evoke a bittersweet nostalgia, beautifully expressed through desolate thoughts inscribed on the canvas of the soul.
The poet employs an epistolary form, addressing an unseen recipient with a lyrical introspection. The aroma unknown and the gentle breeze create an ethereal atmosphere, weaving together hopes, skies, and waves. These elements are carefully crafted into words, a gift offered passionately to the reader. Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, on crafting a poignant and evocative poem titled “Sands of Time.” Your poetic prowess shines through as you skillfully weave emotions and imagery into a tapestry of words.
In “Sands of Time,” you take the reader on a journey through the landscape of emotions, where wild feelings take flight, shedding their faded feathers. This metaphor captures the transient nature of emotions, highlighting their ephemeral quality. The loneliness that permeates the lines adds a layer of vulnerability, creating a connection between the reader and the speaker.
The imagery of deserted sands of time is powerful, symbolizing the passage of time and the solitude that accompanies it. The use of “old emotions fade away like blooms” conjures a vivid image of emotions as delicate flowers, wilting over time. This visual metaphor adds depth to the poem, inviting readers to reflect on the inevitability of change.
Your portrayal of a soul writing desolate thoughts echoes the universal theme of introspection and self-discovery. The mind, depicted with “odd and hidden tunes,” suggests the complexity of one’s inner thoughts and the enigmatic nature of the human psyche. This layer of mystery invites readers to delve into the depths of their own minds, resonating with the introspective journey of the speaker.
The infusion of an “aroma unknown” into the mind introduces a sensory element, stimulating the reader’s imagination. The gentle breeze that caresses quietly embodies a comforting presence, juxtaposing the desolation expressed earlier. This contrast adds a nuanced dimension to the poem, portraying the intricate interplay of emotions within the human experience.
The lines, “All the hopes the sky and waves pour, I shape them into words to give you,” convey a sense of artistic alchemy. Your ability to transform the intangible—hopes symbolized by the sky and waves—into tangible words is commendable. This process of shaping emotions into a poetic expression showcases the transformative power of art, turning abstract feelings into a concrete form that readers can grasp.
The concluding lines, “Passionate are tunes and words I give,” encapsulate the essence of the poem. The passion embedded in your words resonates with readers, creating an emotional connection. The use of “tunes” suggests a rhythmic quality to your expression, emphasizing the musicality of language. This musicality enhances the emotional impact of the poem, leaving a lasting impression on those who engage with your work.
In terms of style, your poem exhibits a careful balance between introspection and external observation. The introspective moments provide insight into the speaker’s psyche, while the vivid imagery of the surrounding elements adds a layer of universality. This balance allows readers to connect with the personal emotions expressed while also finding resonance with broader human experiences
In conclusion, “Sands of Time” is a masterfully crafted poem that navigates the complexities of human emotions and the inexorable passage of time. Your ability to blend vivid imagery, metaphors, and introspection creates a rich tapestry of emotions that captivates and resonates with readers. Congratulations on this remarkable piece, and may your poetic journey continue to unfold with grace and brilliance.
