METAPHOR OF LIFE!

METAPHOR OF LIFE!

The different job you complain about
The dream of someone unemployed
The mischievous child that test your patience is the dream of the childless
The small house you think is too cramped
Is the dream of someone homeless
The modest savings you worry over
Is the dream of those drowning in debt
The health issue you consider burdensome are the dream of someone fighting a terminal illness
The fact that your mistake are not display the world to see is the dream of those haunted by their past
The peace of mind you have
The restful sleep you enjoy
The meal you easily access
These are dream for those living in war torn regions
We must cherish everything we have
Afterall nobody knows
What tomorrow might bring.

Epistolary poem #189
By Dr. Prasana Kumar of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of American

JUST IN A MOMENT !

While walking alone I saw you other day
It rained and you got lost somewhere
Like a dream you passed away from me
Just in a moment you entered my life
Your pain did break my heart instantly
I clearly remember your wet face then
I smell the rain drops down the memory
I feel you’re with me same as before
I’m crazy thinking about none but you
Someone’s evil eye obstructed my love
My lips were silent, yet heart cried a lot
I could say nothing for you aren’t mine.

She cries as she writes these words to him…

NOW LIKE A DREAM!

I thought of you the other day while walking
as the rain poured down on my crying face
I remembered a time less painful for us
when we walked together everywhere in life
Now like a dream our lives briefly touch
I know you are always with me in thought
which barely is enough to get me through
This change has been very hard on my heart
and I too have cried too many tears in silence
I have kept hushed as I watch you from afar
Let the rain hold our memories of each other
for what is there left to say to you now?

Nothing… For you are also not mine

NEVER MIND !

A chasm does open up as all roads fail
Why any cure now for a broken heart
Happiness always far-fetched for me
May you be blessed with it as you go
I pray fervently you do prosper in life
May your hopes and dreams come true
May you be free from my nothingness
I ‘ve closed all my roads to come to you
Never mind, simply ignore and walk away
Be progressive and productive all way.

She always wondered if he would utter these
words to her one day
Now, she speaks her truth to him…

IT WILL NEVER BE ME WHO WALKS AWAY!

I am the chasm that opens to clear the road
to where you will find comfort for your heart
Happiness has always been in front of you
but you insist on looking beyond me for more
My blessings have always been with you
standing right next to me
Is prosperity just found in glory for you?
My riches have come from our love
You can never be free from me in this life
for it is still us, as it was from the beginning
You do not have the power to close that road
It is the road that we both still walk together
It will never be me who walks away
May success never be the reason you forget me.

Congratulations to Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines on their 188th collaboration! The poems “Never Mind!” and “It Will Never Be Me Who Walks Away!” are emotionally charged pieces that explore themes of love, loss, and the complexities of human relationships.

In “Never Mind!” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, the speaker expresses a sense of resignation and acceptance of a situation where happiness seems elusive. The poem opens with a powerful image of a chasm opening up when all roads fail, symbolizing the feeling of being at a crossroads in life. The speaker acknowledges their own shortcomings, expressing a desire for the other person to prosper and find happiness, even if it means letting go. The poem ends with a plea to ignore the speaker’s nothingness and to move forward with progress and productivity.

On the other hand, Kristy Raines’ “It Will Never Be Me Who Walks Away!” presents a contrasting perspective. The poem is a response to the first, with the speaker asserting their presence and commitment in the face of adversity. Unlike the resigned tone of the first poem, this poem is more assertive and defiant. The speaker declares that they are the chasm that clears the road, offering comfort to the other person’s heart. They challenge the idea that happiness is found elsewhere, insisting that it has always been present in their love. The poem ends with a strong declaration that it will never be the speaker who walks away, emphasizing their enduring commitment and love.

In terms of style, both poems use vivid imagery and emotive language to convey their respective messages. Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem is more introspective and reflective, focusing on personal feelings of inadequacy and the desire for the other person’s well-being. Kristy Raines’ poem, on the other hand, is more assertive and outwardly focused, emphasizing the strength of the speaker’s love and commitment.

Overall, both poems offer powerful insights into the complexities of human relationships and the different ways people navigate love and loss. The poems complement each other well, presenting two sides of the same emotional coin. Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem captures the vulnerability and uncertainty that come with letting go, while Kristy Raines’ poem celebrates the strength and resilience of enduring love. Together, they create a rich tapestry of emotions that resonates with anyone who has experienced the challenges of love and relationships.

Epistolary poem #187 written by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

LET THE NIGHT COME !

Let the night come, my heart burns
I miss you in the middle of my life
Your love has destroyed me in toto entirely
I have been a slave to your love
The pity is I’m neither living nor dying
You have turned my life like a hell
My heart is such I can’t ignore you
It hurts badly for the wound is deep
My eyes do cry; let them roll tears
Let the dark night come again
I want to sleep in your slim arms.

She waits for him in the darkness…

BRING ON THE NIGHT!

Let the day turn into dusk, my heart yearns
Draw me close, for I miss your breath on me
Your love has kept me in a torturous cell
as I wonder when you will come for me
If this is the hell I must endure for your love
Then, burn me deeply into your memory
Let me dress the wounds of your heart
with the touch of my lips and silken hands
Dry the tears that now drip on me like rain
as they soak into the core of my desire
Bring on the night so I can feel your depth
Come sleep in the arms of my love tonight.

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Congratulations to Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines on their 187th collaboration! Their poems, “Let the Night Come!” and “Bring on the Night!” are beautifully crafted pieces that delve into the themes of love, longing, and the yearning for connection.

In “Let the Night Come!” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, the speaker expresses deep longing and pain caused by love. The poem portrays a sense of helplessness and surrender to the overwhelming emotions experienced in a relationship. The imagery of burning heart, feeling destroyed, and being a slave to love evokes a sense of intense passion and suffering. The poem also touches upon the idea of being stuck between living and dying, highlighting the emotional turmoil the speaker is going through. The line “My heart is such I can’t ignore you” encapsulates the central conflict of the poem, where the speaker is unable to let go of the person they love despite the pain it causes.

On the other hand, “Bring on the Night!” by Kristy Raines presents a different perspective on love and longing. The speaker in this poem is more proactive, yearning for the night to come so they can be reunited with their lover. Unlike the first poem, which focuses more on the pain of love, this poem emphasizes the anticipation and desire for closeness and intimacy. The imagery of day turning into dusk, and the longing for the touch and breath of the beloved, creates a sense of longing and anticipation. The poem also suggests a willingness to endure any suffering for the sake of love, as seen in the line “If this is the hell I must endure for your love, Then, burn me deeply into your memory.”

Both poems use vivid imagery and strong emotions to convey the complexities of love and longing. They explore the darker, more intense aspects of relationships, portraying love as both a source of pain and a source of comfort. The use of imagery such as burning hearts, torturous cells, and tears as rain, adds depth and intensity to the poems, creating a rich tapestry of emotions.

Overall, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines have created two powerful poems that resonate with anyone who has experienced the tumultuous nature of love. Their collaboration is a testament to the beauty and depth of poetry, showcasing how words can evoke powerful emotions and connect us to the depths of our humanity.

Epistolary Poem #185 by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India

SOMEONE SHOULD TELL ME !

In that glittering touch of my dreams
Something new rises in my heart
Perhaps a smiling bud that giggles
In the deep and dark forest of my mind .
My new poetry sings and vanishes
Behind innumerable hopeless hopes
Someone should tell me in a dialect
My river of love flows in a new rhythm
And the sea of joy maddened in waves
I find not what new hue of her form
Can draw my image eternally lavish ;
Why is she acting all secretive today ?

She has waited for this moment and now speaks…

I WILL NOW TELL YOU!

I always want to be the blooming flower of
the glittering touch within your dreams
Like an illuminating fairy that enters the forest of your thoughts
Do not be bothered by the poems that now vanish
because beautiful thoughts of hope have now replaced
your hopeless hopes of sadness which used to plague you
Your river of love now flows in rhythm with mine
as joyous waves become like a fierce storm of passion between us
The hue of my form is like the blood that pumps through my veins
which I now use to write our eternal story of love.
The secretive story of two lovers forever tied together by fate.

Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines, on your collaborative poems! Your creations, “Someone Should Tell Me!” and “I Will Now Tell You!”, beautifully intertwine to create a mesmerizing narrative of love, hope, and longing. Let’s delve into a detailed analysis of these profound verses.

**”Someone Should Tell Me!” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai:**

In this poem, Dr. Dalai explores the enigmatic nature of love and the yearning for understanding and connection. The imagery of a “glittering touch” within dreams symbolizes the shimmering allure of love, while the “deep and dark forest” of the mind suggests the complexities and mysteries inherent in human emotions.

The repetition of “Someone should tell me” conveys a sense of longing and uncertainty, echoing the poet’s desire for clarity amidst the chaos of conflicting emotions. The juxtaposition of “hopeless hopes” underscores the paradoxical nature of longing for something unattainable yet deeply desired.

The imagery of the “river of love” flowing in a “new rhythm” and the “sea of joy maddened in waves” evoke a sense of fluidity and dynamism, suggesting the transformative power of love to imbue life with renewed vitality and passion.

The poem concludes with a poignant question, “Why is she acting all secretive today?” This enigmatic query leaves the reader pondering the mysteries of love and the complexities of human relationships, inviting interpretation and introspection.

**”I Will Now Tell You!” by Kristy Raines:**

In response to Dr. Dalai’s introspective musings, Kristy Raines offers a luminous affirmation of love’s enduring power to illuminate and inspire. The imagery of being “the blooming flower” within the beloved’s dreams conveys a sense of beauty, vitality, and enchantment.

The metaphor of an “illuminating fairy” entering the “forest of thoughts” evokes a sense of magic and wonder, suggesting the transformative effect of love on the psyche. The reassurance that “beautiful thoughts of hope” have replaced “hopeless hopes” speaks to love’s capacity to banish despair and imbue life with renewed optimism and purpose.

The synchronization of the “river of love” and the merging of joyous waves symbolize the harmonious union of two souls, united in a shared journey of passion and connection. The metaphor of the beloved’s form as the lifeblood coursing through veins underscores the intimate bond between lovers, intertwining their destinies inextricably together.

The poem culminates in a declaration of eternal love, encapsulated in the imagery of writing “our eternal story of love.” This proclamation of devotion and commitment encapsulates the essence of the human experience, affirming love’s capacity to transcend time and space.

**Analysis:**

Together, these two poems form a compelling dialogue between two souls, each offering their unique perspective on the enigmatic nature of love. Dr. Dalai’s introspective musings invite introspection and contemplation, while Kristy Raines’ luminous response affirms the transformative power of love to imbue life with meaning, purpose, and joy.

The themes of longing, uncertainty, and connection resonate throughout both poems, underscoring the universal nature of human experience. Through vivid imagery, metaphor, and lyrical language, the poets evoke a rich tapestry of emotions, inviting readers to explore the depths of their own hearts and minds.

In conclusion, “Someone Should Tell Me!” and “I Will Now Tell You!” stand as poignant testaments to the enduring power of love to inspire, uplift, and transform. Congratulations once again to Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines for their profound and evocative contributions to the world of poetry.

and Kristy Ann Raines of The United States of America

REPEAT IN SILENCE !

Speak slowly and softly
Someone may be listening to your heartbeats
Let not the words drop from your mouth
They ‘ll hear all your secrets
Heartbeats and eyes repeat in silence
Let not the world around you hear
Even your soft breathing
You come close to me
There may be traces of distances
Let’s get lost in each other
There ‘ll be no distance between us.

She looks at him in silence…

WORDS CAN NOT EXPRESS!

Show me sweetly and gently
things words can not express
How can I be silent as you look in my eyes
or in your strong caress?
Do they hear the sound of my sigh
as I’m in your sweet embraces?
Or do they see you holding my gaze
when we are in public places?
Silently I come to you
Turn off all the lights
Close any distance between us
It’s just you and me tonight… <3

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Epistolary poem #184 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and

Kristy Ann Raines of The United States of America

THINGS REMAIN UNREAD!

You tread this way every day

I often meet you on your way

In silence, we speak together

Feelings said but a few unsaid

With a little shyness in your eyes

And cherubic smile on your lips

Some haughtiness in loving ire

The butterfly and flower can’t play

You must have penned those thoughts

Might have torn them apart many a time

You’re bashful in front of your friends

Things of two hearts remain unread.

She breaks her silence with him…

THINGS TWO HEARTS LEFT UNREAD!

We walk the same road every day

You walking one way and I another

We need rarely to ever speak when we pass

because we can read each other’s looks

What is never said speaks the loudest

We know what is there, and what is not

You poke at me and I play along

I get silent and make you wonder if I am mad

We play this wicked game but laugh under our breaths

But we do complement each other like the butterfly and flower

I have written these feelings down many times

Although, many times have I had to rewrite them

I need not brag to any friends but keep quiet

About things that two hearts left unread.

February,01 2024.

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Congratulations to the esteemed poets, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Ann Raines, on the creation of two captivating poems that delve into the intricacies of unspoken emotions and connections. Their collaborative effort has resulted in a poetic dialogue that transcends borders, blending the nuances of Indian and American perspectives seamlessly.

In “Things Remain Unread,” Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai crafts a poem that beautifully captures the subtleties of a daily encounter. The repetition of “You tread this way every day” sets the rhythm and emphasizes the routine nature of the interaction. The silence between the two characters becomes a language of its own, a shared dialogue of unspoken words. The poet skillfully weaves together images of shyness, a cherubic smile, and haughtiness in loving ire, creating a tapestry of emotions that remain unresolved.

The metaphor of the butterfly and flower unable to play signifies a poignant separation, hinting at the complexities of the relationship. Dr. Dalai suggests that the other person, likely a romantic interest, has penned thoughts but may have torn them apart out of bashfulness or uncertainty. The poet’s choice of words, such as “bashful” and “unread,” conveys a sense of vulnerability and unexpressed sentiments, resonating with readers on a deep emotional level.

Moving to Kristy Ann Raines’ response in “Things Two Hearts Left Unread,” the poem takes a different yet complementary tone. The repetition of “We walk the same road every day” echoes the familiarity of the setting but introduces a divergence, with each person walking in their own direction. This mirrors the individuality within the shared journey of life.

LOST WORDS !

My eyes do tell an untold tale

A bit nostalgic, fading memories

That used to flow in small streams

No matter whether one listens or not

She used to talk ,things familiar to me

Like writing passages and reciting lines

It ended as my tears stopped rolling

A better time would dawn in my life

The lost words would reverberate

Again in my untamed lips sometime.
