He belongs to a small typical village Nandiagada of Ganjam District,the state of Odisha.After schooling he studied intermediate and Graduated In Kabisurjya Baladev vigyan Mahavidyalaya then M A in English from Berhampur University PhD in language and literature and D.litt from Colombian poetic house from South America.He promotes his specific writings around the world literature and trades with multiple stems that are related to current issues based on his observation and experiences that needs urgent attention.He is an award winning writer who has achieved various laurels from the circle of writing worldwide.His free verse poems not only inspires young readers but also the ready of current time.His poetic symbol is right now inspiring others, some of which are appreciated by laurels of India and across the world. Global poetry champions announced by Motivational Strips

Motivational Strips, the world’s most active writers forum announced the winners of ‘Be A Star Poetry Contest’ yesterday evening. The event was graced by Dr K Satchidanandan, Kerala
Sahitya Akademi president, along with Rupa Publications Managing Partner Raju Barman. The founder and president of Motivational Strips Shiju H Pallithazheth while thanking the poets from across the world for active participation stated that the contest had scores of participants from more than hundred countries. He said that poetry had created an unwavering unity and global integration through literature.

Dr K Satchidanandan applauded the quality process of the overall contest, and appreciated the efforts put in by administration of Motivational Strips, by choosing jury from different parts of the world being a global contest . He added that such quality contests are not easy to win when the competition is with the entire world., but the experience garnered by participation could bring out the best in a poet. Raju Barman highlighted that poetry remains powerful and ever green after witnessing the heavy participation in this contest by worldwide poets.He congratulated the founder of Motivational Strips for his leadership skills in handling literary affairs throughout the world.

Motivational Strips is the world’s most valued literary online forum, and has active participation of writers from more than 197 countries. The monthly impressions to this forum from readers and writers crosses a whopping 7.5 million every month.

Popular Malaysian Author Lilian Woo, the contest chair for BAS contest stated that her team had a tough time to decide the winners and thanked her jury team comprising of Author Barbara Ehrentreu (USA), Author Corina Junghiatu (Romania), Author Ewelina Maria Bugajska Javorka (Denmark) and Author Sonia Batra (India)

Priyanka Banerjee(India) bagged the first place in Poetry Rendition (English) while Ipsita Ganguli (India) and Mary Lynn Luiz(USA) shared second and third positions. The first and second place winners in poetry rendition(English Category) also wins a full paid trip for two days to Muscat City, Oman. This was awarded by event sponsors from Oman – Akbar Holidays, Best Western Hotels and Speedy Enterprises . The General Manager of Best Western Hotel Mr Abdul Samad, stated from his Muscat office that they would always be happy to support such qualitative literary functions

Vineet Singh Galhotra (India) won the first place in written Poetry (English) while Paris Manza (Zambia) and Archana Pushkaran (India) shared second and third place respectively.

The first place in Poetry Rendition and third place in written poetry of other languages were bagged by Pasquale Cusano (Italy). Hira Mehta (India) won first place in written Poetry category and third place in poetry rendition of other languages . Graciela Noemi Villaverde (Argentina) firmly held second position in bath categories in other languages.

Chief Guest Raju Barman expressed his delight to note that first and second place in poetry rendition category was held by poets from Kolkata city, and thus keeping alive literary history of the city. The overall event of ‘Be A Star contest awards’ was moderated by Motivational Strips head of media coordination and logistics Author Sreekala P Vijayan. She thanked the dignitaries and participants for making the event a grand success worldwide. Chief Guest K Satchidanandan ended the event praising efforts of Motivational Strips Global Administration while. maintaining its strong stand as the world’s most active writers forum.

Your poem titled “Since You’re Gone” is a poem that keeps the stage on fire by infusing the concept of love with that enigmatic sensitivity.Love is fraught with so many fluctuating fortunes.Love creates an environment akin to a roller coaster ride.Love takes us to places where Angels fear to tread.The highest point of love is clearly self effacement at the altar of love.The extreme form of love does result in things getting into a tailspin.Here,the individual concerned gets his/her focus right on the bull’s eye.Once,this action packed love is gone with the winds,it is very difficult to salvage it at any rate.

Oh rain, you are the sweetest song.
Come down to this parched earth with your rhythmic dance and song.
To alleviate the pain of hot summer days.
And adorn this lovely place with fruits and flowers of bright rays.

Come with your silver drops that heal.
And fill the hearts of all with thrills.
Oh rain, come with your strong wind.
Come with your dark ferocious clouds wandering by the wind.

Come with your formidable thunder roar.
Come with your spark of lightning soar.
Come to enrich this lovely earth with greenery.
Come to adorn this place with beautiful scenery.

All creatures are enjoying your sweet silver drops of joy.
The hills, meadows, dale, and fields smile with flowers of joy.
Everywhere there is enchantment and jubilation after a long summer of pain.
Floating clouds are wandering in the sky for a monsoon gain.

The hilltops covered with clouds look white.
It brings a hilarious note to watch the sight.
The earth sings the songs of joy and glory of heaven.
There are songs everywhere and laughter of rain.

The earth is joyful with your sweet rhythmic harmony.
All are happy with your sweet symphony

I love the rain that cleanses my pain
I love the rhythm that creates a harmony
My tattered soul wanders in the lonely lane
I wait for the whole year to tune the symphony

Every time I sip a cup of tea
I loathe thy memories
Dried roads wet like my eyes!

With the humming of showers
My parched soul loves the pitter-patter

She cries as she speaks…

NOT FOOL ENOUGH!

Flattering words almost fooled me
But I have lived long enough to know
Love may only come along one time in life
and I’m not fool enough to let you go
We’ll stay together come hell or high water
and many memories we still have to make
So know though the rumors were somewhat true
I came to my senses before I made that fatal mistake
Love is more than beautiful words and promises
I am happy with the life we have made
I never have to worry at the end of the day
that what we have together will ever fade.
What I am trying to say is I love you
Nothing can compare to what we have so true
And no sweet talk that comes from another

I wonder if you’ve love in your heart

If yours is as restless as mine
The moments love flourishes in
You’re waiting for the love ?
Hopefully I’m giving up this world
Do you also have as much faith ?
Do your eyes often express
The love and longing in your heart ?
I’m still waiting on the way
Do come and see ; you can feel.

DrPrasana Kumar Dalai
(DOB 07/06/1973) is a passionate Indian Author-cum-poet while a tremendous lecturer of English by profession in the Ganjam district of Odisha.He is an accomplished source of inspiration for young generation of India .His free verse on Romantic and melancholic poems appreciated by everyone. He belongs to a small typical village Nandiagada of Ganjam District,the state of Odisha.After schooling he studied intermediate and Graduated In Kabisurjya Baladev vigyan Mahavidyalaya then M A in English from Berhampur University PhD in language and literature and D.litt from Colombian poetic house from South America.He promotes his specific writings around the world literature and trades with multiple stems that are related to current issues based on his observation and experiences that needs urgent attention.He is an award winning writer who has achieved various laurels from the circle of writing worldwide.His free verse poems not only inspires young readers but also the ready of current time.His poetic symbol is right now inspiring others, some of which are appreciated by laurels of India and across the world. Many of his poems been translated in different Indian languages and got global appreciation. You have never let me live in peace
Even if I asked for death
You did not let me die
My days are dark and gloomy now
With manifolded pain and anguish
Sad memories make me feel uneasy
Sorrows rule my life all day and night
Me suffocating in this stilly night
How can I endure it away from you ?
Death can console and comfort me
Even for a moment I can’t smile .

MY STORMY STATE !

It is told you love me now
What ‘ll you get but a big zero
In my stormy state
You will rather get displaced
For I dwell in the city of grief and pain
Why should I dream of
What I would regret tomorrow
For I’m in shame
You too will be ashamed
My world is abandoned
My heart knows your shadow of smile
There will echo so many anthems of love.

LULLABIES OF SILENCE !

Distance with closeness stands in silence
Between a little sweetness & sour talk
Nights are lost as I reject the sadness
Am now clasped by hugs of your arms
Your eyes shine like bright stars in sky
Moments now tuned with heart’s wishes
Listen to the lilting lullabies of silence
You look like a heart shaped moon
A half backed promise of smile & tear
Look at it from the corner of your eyes
Let me take a dip in that silent river.

SILENCE ENDS AND MUSIC BEGINS!

We stand close together with silence between us
Conversation goes from sweet notes to serious looks
No more do you give into the sadness within you
because tonight you are in the heat of my arms
As I look at you, I can’t help but sigh loudly
because I know tonight belongs to just us
I can hear nothing but the whispers of our breaths
Silence is the music that captures this moment
A tear starts to form in the corner of my eye
as a serious smile comes closer to meet my lips
Come and take a dip in this silent river
where the silence ends and sweet music begins…
