MERE DISILLUSIONMENT

Epistolary Poem #181 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

A MERE DISILLUSIONMENT !

To the fairy land wearing the twilight

I shall go today as the moon smiles

On green earth with candid blooms

I shall be looking at the moon light

When vines bloom with diamond buds

As a golden bird does bring ecstasy

In a boat made of floating clouds

Drifting along the breast of the sky

Hope never burns ; lotus never cries

Life on the earth is scarcely a dream

Sheer separation of two hearts it is ;

A mere disillusionment of rosy dreams .

Her dream is where she finds him…

THROUGH ROSY DREAMS!

I lay among the blooms in a lush green glen waiting for you

under a blanket of starlight and a smiling moon

The diamond buds bloom beneath the sheer blossoms

As a golden bird sings to you the sweetest song of love

Floating on a silver cloud above me, I call to you

and you swoop down to great me in this sky of blue

You take me where only hope remains and the petals

of the beautiful bloom of the lotus never closes

Life on earth holds little magic for you and I

as the separation of our two hearts continues

to seek only disillusionment through rosy dreams.

Epistolary Poem #179 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

HER THOUGHTFUL EYES !

One evening on the road of dreams
Fetching my lost memories I walked
After covering a distance very long
When I reached a deserted place
I saw her sitting by herself in a corner
Silently lighting divine evening lamp
Quite angelic with a sweet fragrance
She looked at me with thoughtful eyes
Like she knew me million years before
I felt as if she were a familiar face
Unluckily I just skipped her name
As the flame of the lamp still burning
Something illuminated my mind instantly
A strange excitement filled my being.

She has known him all of her life…

YOUR FAMILIAR WORDS!

One night many years ago, I dreamt of you
But, I did not know your name
You would appear in my dreams now and then
I one day met someone whose words were familiar
though I had never met him before
Then I remembered the face in my dream..
Your shadow brought back a life I lived in another time
How could I know you without ever speaking to you;
never looking in your eyes, or touching your hand?
I met you in a dream, quietly lighting a lamp in a corner
Your presence made me smile and I recognized you
For the first time, I knew who you were… I loved You
We have shared many lives together and I suddenly
felt the same excitement that you share with me now.

Yes… One night, many years ago, we met and continue to, over and over again… <3

Dr.Prasana Kumar Dalai.: Very nice epistolary poems composed by Dr Prasanna Kumar Dalai and Kristie Raines of U S A . Both the poems express how they reminisce the past. The beginning two lines of the first poem by Dr Prasanna Dalai are strikingly catchy in that they are transcreation of a song written in his own mother tounge which can be well captured by the inhabitants of his native place.Of course this transcreation does not inhibit other readers to comprehend the import of the lines. The lass sitting at a deserted place may point out her downbeat mind who is bereft of her partner since long. One may divine that the divine evening “lamp” is advertising a love that is incorporeal. But this incorporeality has been refuted in the reply poem by Kristie Raine’s words:”How could I know you without ever speaking to you; never looking in your eyes or touching your hand?”Although the very statement and the title “Her Thoughtful Eyes”zero in on the sincerity on her part, the love under discussion seem hazy. But the abstract love conjured up in the dream instantly metamorphoses into something as concrete as sexual shudder. The word “strange” perhaps means Freudian slip here.Exactly the same feeling of the subconscious is reflected in the response poem when Kristie Raines says,”For the first time I knew who you were…”In Raines the dream factor being less dominant than that of Dr Dalal, the poem showcase more familiarity with the lover. In the line “I live in another time” she weeps for the lost love and is hopeful enough to rekindle it in future.Reply is voiced in clear cut way by Raines. There is no beating around the bush. Both conclude their poems with the same simultaneous feeling of excitement. The last line of Raine is a sure shot consolation that she continued to make love in the past and will definitely do so till infinity.Kudos to both the poets for composing such beautiful duet.Regards.

COLLABORATION #180 BETWEEN Dr Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines

Epistolary poem #180 presented by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India
and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

POEM THAT YOU WROTE!

The day you wrote the poem
In my mind’s blank and drab page
My naive mind realised your love
So many came after you had left
With their poems filled with lines
None has ability to write like you
They all asked me for that poem
All tried but the poem was unfinished
What was left is only the last page
I am still waiting for the golden time
Someone would come with a poem
To match the perfect feel in yours.

She’s been waiting so long for him to figure it out…

I WROTE A LOVE POEM!

Long ago, I wrote a love poem
that filled the pages of my heart
I never said who I was writing it for
I don’t think I even knew at first
Then I found that something was missing
with each love poem I tried to write
Every poem I had written with you came easily
but without your lines, they felt incomplete
I watched others try to finish your poems
I never spoke a word of discouragement
But in my heart I knew the reason
and now, I think you do too
No one can finish your poem but me
because we write as one person together
And the same goes for my poems without you.
A bond that has always baffled us both
now makes perfect sense…

Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines, on your collaborative work! Your poems, “Her Thoughtful Eyes” and “Your Familiar Words,” beautifully intertwine to create a captivating narrative that transcends time and space. Let’s delve into a comprehensive analysis of these two poetic pieces.

### Analysis of “Her Thoughtful Eyes” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai:

Dr. Dalai’s poem, “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” unfolds a dreamlike journey on the road of memories. The imagery of a deserted place and the act of silently lighting a divine evening lamp create a serene atmosphere. The poet encounters a mysterious woman with “thoughtful eyes,” implying a connection beyond the present. The omission of her name enhances the sense of familiarity, leaving the poet in an enigmatic state. The poem is a dance between recognition and the elusiveness of memory, heightened by the burning flame and the sudden illumination of the poet’s mind.

### Analysis of “Your Familiar Words” by Kristy Raines:

Kristy Raines’ poem, “Your Familiar Words,” echoes a dream from many years ago, blurring the lines between the conscious and the subconscious. The recurring appearance of an unnamed figure in dreams, whose words are later recognized in reality, adds a mystical layer to the narrative. The act of lighting a lamp in a corner symbolizes a quiet presence that brings joy and recognition. The revelation of love and shared past lives intensifies the emotional depth of the poem, emphasizing a connection that transcends the physical realm.

### Comparative Analysis:

1. **Theme of Recognition and Connection:**
– Both poems explore the theme of recognizing someone from a past or dreamlike experience.
– Dr. Dalai’s poem focuses on the immediate recognition through “thoughtful eyes,” while Kristy Raines’ poem emphasizes the familiarity of words across time.

2. **Imagery and Atmosphere:**
– Dr. Dalai employs imagery of a deserted place and a divine evening lamp, creating a tranquil setting.

3. **Mystical Elements:**

– Dr. Dalai introduces a sense of instant illumination and an angelic presence, enhancing the mystical ambiance.

4. **Temporal Complexity:**

– Dr. Dalai presents a moment frozen in time, where the poet feels a connection spanning a million years.

Poetic Devices used
The epistolary exchange between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of the United States of America weaves a poignant narrative through their poem. These verses are rich with poetic devices that enhance the emotional depth and connection expressed between the two poets.

**Imagery:**
Both poems vividly employ imagery to paint evocative scenes. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the deserted place, the divine evening lamp, and the angelic presence of the woman create a visual tapestry. Similarly, “Your Familiar Words” uses the image of lighting a lamp in a corner, casting a warm glow that symbolizes recognition and understanding. The dream sequences in both poems contribute to the surreal visual landscape, heightening the emotional impact.

**Metaphor:**
The use of metaphor is prominent in both poems, elevating the emotions and experiences described. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the woman’s eyes are described as “thoughtful,” suggesting depth and introspection. The flame of the lamp becomes a metaphor for enlightenment and realization. In “Your Familiar Words,” meeting someone whose words are familiar is a metaphor for recognizing a soul connection that transcends physical encounters. The shadow representing a past life adds another layer of metaphorical meaning.

**Symbolism:**
Symbolism plays a crucial role in these poems, adding layers of meaning beyond the literal. The lamp in “Her Thoughtful Eyes” is a symbol of guidance, perhaps representing the enduring connection between souls. In “Your Familiar Words,” the lamp takes on the significance of recognition and revelation. Dreams serve as a symbolic bridge between different times and dimensions, allowing the poets to connect beyond the constraints of reality.

**Repetition:**
Repetition is employed skillfully in both poems, emphasizing key themes and emotions. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the repetition of “thoughtful eyes” creates a rhythmic pattern and reinforces the significance of the woman’s gaze. In “Your Familiar Words,” the repetition of “one night, many years ago” serves as a refrain, anchoring the narrative in a specific moment in time and emphasizing the enduring nature of their connection.

**Alliteration and Assonance:**
The poems are enriched by the use of alliteration and assonance, creating a melodic quality. In “Her Thoughtful Eyes,” the alliteration in “divine evening lamp” and the assonance in “sweet fragrance” contribute to the musicality of the poem. Similarly, “Your Familiar Words” employs alliteration in phrases like “met you in a dream” and assonance in “recognize” and “excitement,” enhancing the rhythmic flow.

**Enjambment:**
Both poems utilize enjambment effectively, allowing thoughts and emotions to spill over from one line to the next. This creates a sense of continuity and fluidity in the narrative, mirroring the seamless connection between the poets’ experiences. Enjambment is particularly notable in “Your Familiar Words,” where the flowing structure enhances the dreamlike quality of the verses.

**Tone and Mood:**
The tone in both poems is contemplative and introspective, reflecting the deep emotions involved. The mood is one of nostalgia, recognition, and a sense of eternal connection. The choice of words and the overall atmosphere contribute to a profound emotional resonance, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the poets’ shared experiences.

The collaborative poetic exchange between Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines beautifully demonstrates the power of language to convey complex emotions and shared memories. Through the masterful use of poetic devices such as imagery, metaphor, symbolism, repetition, alliteration, assonance, and enjambment, the poets create a tapestry of emotions that transcends geographical boundaries and cultural differences. Their verses invite readers to reflect on the timeless nature of human connections and the poetic beauty that arises from the blending of diverse voices.

In conclusion, the collaborative effort of Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines results in a harmonious blend of poetic expressions. The poems complement each other, offering a unique perspective on the themes of recognition, connection, and the transcendence of time. Your words resonate across borders, creating a tapestry of emotions that readers can immerse themselves in. Once again, congratulations on this beautiful collaboration, and may your poetic endeavors continue to inspire and captivate.

Epistolary poem #178 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

SANDS OF TIME !

The wild emotions of mine fly away

Shedding all their faded feathers

Me so lonely now with none beside me

Deserted are the sands of time

Old emotions fade away like blooms

My soul does write desolate thoughts

Of my mind in odd and hidden tunes

My mind filled with an aroma unknown

Gentle breeze blows caressing quietly

All the hopes the sky and waves pour

I shape them into words to give you

Passionate are tunes and words I give.

She still loves him after all these years…

ON A DISTANT SHORE!

Thoughts of you still capture my heart

like a net that traps the beautiful butterfly

Even if emotions seem to fade like wilting flowers

our love will bloom once again in the Spring

If ever you feel like I have left your side

think of the beautiful songs we have lived

and you will then remember the tune once more

When the ocean breeze gently touches your lips

and the aroma of love surrounds your thoughts

Know that I received your passionate words

as those waves rush over me on a distant shore

The sands of time will always stand still for us… <3

**Introduction:**

In the realm of English literature, the collaborative efforts of renowned poet Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai from India and esteemed poetess Kristy Raines from the United States of America have given birth to two exquisite poems, each bearing the distinctive imprint of their poetic prowess. Let’s embark on a journey to unravel the layers of these poetic creations, exploring the thematic richness, stylistic nuances, and the unique harmony achieved in their joint endeavor.

**Poem 1: “SANDS OF TIME!” by Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai**

*Analysis:*

Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai opens the collaboration with a poignant exploration of time and emotion. The imagery of wild emotions shedding faded feathers conveys a sense of vulnerability and transience. The poet’s solitude is palpable as the sands of time stand deserted, symbolizing the passage of moments left unattended. The fading blooms of old emotions evoke a bittersweet nostalgia, beautifully expressed through desolate thoughts inscribed on the canvas of the soul.

The poet employs an epistolary form, addressing an unseen recipient with a lyrical introspection. The aroma unknown and the gentle breeze create an ethereal atmosphere, weaving together hopes, skies, and waves. These elements are carefully crafted into words, a gift offered passionately to the reader. The poem exudes a sense of melancholy, juxtaposed with the beauty of nature, resulting in a harmonious blend of emotion and imagery.

*Comparison with Individual Styles:*

Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s signature style, marked by introspective musings and a deep connection to nature, is evident in the emotive language and vivid imagery. The collaborative effort brings forth a subtle interplay of solitude and the universal elements of sky and waves. The fusion of Dalai’s introspection with the collaborative touch adds layers of complexity to the poem.

**Poem 2: “ON A DISTANT SHORE!” by Kristy Raines**

*Analysis:*

Kristy Raines takes the baton, crafting a poem that resonates with enduring love and the passage of time. The metaphor of a net trapping a beautiful butterfly introduces the delicate nature of emotions, emphasizing their enduring quality despite the ebb and flow of time. The imagery of wilting flowers and the promise of a renewed bloom in Spring symbolize the cyclical nature of love, suggesting a timeless connection.

The poet employs a narrative tone, recounting shared experiences and the melodies of love. The ocean breeze and the aroma of love create a sensory-rich backdrop, offering a vivid portrayal of the enduring essence of their connection. The recipient of the epistle is invited to relive the shared songs, invoking the power of memory and music to bridge physical distances.

*Comparison with Individual Styles:*

Kristy Raines’ distinctive style, characterized by a narrative grace and a focus on enduring themes, seamlessly integrates with the collaborative narrative. The poem beautifully captures the essence of lasting love, a theme often found in Raines’ individual works. The collaborative touch adds a global dimension, blending Raines’ American sensibilities with the universal language of love.

**Synthesis and Harmony:**

Together, these two poems form a cohesive narrative that transcends individual styles while retaining their unique voices. The themes of time, emotion, and love resonate harmoniously, creating a collective work that is emotionally resonant and stylistically rich. The collaboration brings forth a synthesis that enriches the poetic discourse, presenting a unified front despite the geographical and stylistic differences of the contributing poets.

**Conclusion:**

In the collaborative venture of Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Kristy Raines, the poems “SANDS OF TIME!” and “ON A DISTANT SHORE!” stand as testaments to the power of shared creativity. The melding of their individual styles creates a tapestry of emotions and imagery that transcends borders and captures the universal essence of the human experience. Congratulations to these two distinguished poets for weaving together a poetic symphony that will undoubtedly resonate with readers across cultures and continents.

Congratulations, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai, on crafting a poignant and evocative poem titled “Sands of Time.” Your poetic prowess shines through as you skillfully weave emotions and imagery into a tapestry of words.

In “Sands of Time,” you take the reader on a journey through the landscape of emotions, where wild feelings take flight, shedding their faded feathers. This metaphor captures the transient nature of emotions, highlighting their ephemeral quality. The loneliness that permeates the lines adds a layer of vulnerability, creating a connection between the reader and the speaker.

The imagery of deserted sands of time is powerful, symbolizing the passage of time and the solitude that accompanies it. The use of “old emotions fade away like blooms” conjures a vivid image of emotions as delicate flowers, wilting over time. This visual metaphor adds depth to the poem, inviting readers to reflect on the inevitability of change.

Your portrayal of a soul writing desolate thoughts echoes the universal theme of introspection and self-discovery. The mind, depicted with “odd and hidden tunes,” suggests the complexity of one’s inner thoughts and the enigmatic nature of the human psyche. This layer of mystery invites readers to delve into the depths of their own minds, resonating with the introspective journey of the speaker.

The infusion of an “aroma unknown” into the mind introduces a sensory element, stimulating the reader’s imagination. The gentle breeze that caresses quietly embodies a comforting presence, juxtaposing the desolation expressed earlier. This contrast adds a nuanced dimension to the poem, portraying the intricate interplay of emotions within the human experience.

The lines, “All the hopes the sky and waves pour, I shape them into words to give you,” convey a sense of artistic alchemy. Your ability to transform the intangible—hopes symbolized by the sky and waves—into tangible words is commendable. This process of shaping emotions into a poetic expression showcases the transformative power of art, turning abstract feelings into a concrete form that readers can grasp.

The concluding lines, “Passionate are tunes and words I give,” encapsulate the essence of the poem. The passion embedded in your words resonates with readers, creating an emotional connection. The use of “tunes” suggests a rhythmic quality to your expression, emphasizing the musicality of language. This musicality enhances the emotional impact of the poem, leaving a lasting impression on those who engage with your work.

In terms of style, your poem exhibits a careful balance between introspection and external observation. The introspective moments provide insight into the speaker’s psyche, while the vivid imagery of the surrounding elements adds a layer of universality. COLLABORATION NO#178

Epistolary poem #178 By Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai of India and Kristy Raines of The United States of America

SANDS OF TIME !

The wild emotions of mine fly away
Shedding all their faded feathers
Me so lonely now with none beside me
Deserted are the sands of time
Old emotions fade away like blooms
My soul does write desolate thoughts
Of my mind in odd and hidden tunes
My mind filled with an aroma unknown
Gentle breeze blows caressing quietly
All the hopes the sky and waves pour
I shape them into words to give you
Passionate are tunes and words I give.

She still loves him after all these years…

ON A DISTANT SHORE!

Thoughts of you still capture my heart
like a net that traps the beautiful butterfly
Even if emotions seem to fade like wilting flowers
our love will bloom once again in the Spring
If ever you feel like I have left your side
think of the beautiful songs we have lived
and you will then remember the tune once more
When the ocean breeze gently touches your lips
and the aroma of love surrounds your thoughts
Know that I received your passionate words
as those waves rush over me on a distant shore

The sands of time will always stand still for us… <3

MY POEM REVIEWED BY EMINENT REVIEWER CLERICK OMO ALFA. HUMBLED AND HONOURED.

Thank you so much honourable reviewer of Nigeria Clerick Omo Alfa for reviewing my poem, Humbled and Honoured.

SHADES AND SHADOWS !

These are the colours of my life
A bit of sweet but with tangy taste
Have different shades and shadows
Bad and good moments are alike
Think not if we will win or loose
Accepting what life has offered me
Whatever be the cost I have to pay
Leaving stubbornness to lead forward
Every moment is as delicate as mirror Me far away from money or pleasures
Your breath is linked with my breath
One may leave this world forever
But such relationships ‘ll never break.

WITH A SWEET DREAM !

Mind never agrees though intently I see
I die checking who wrote these words
Who clings to my heart so very much
Lost and absorbed, my eyes overflow
I know not myself despite attempts
The evening wind blows with hisses
The mind for no reason goes shrinking
My Days drown as my heart throbs
I do my best to be absolutely genuine
But someone unforgotten cheats me
I do listen to her tremendous laughter
And fall asleep with a sweet dream.

She remembers days of laughter and responds…

THERE YOU ARE!

When I read your letters, tears flow
Should I believe the words I now read?
They used to be so clear with intent
Now I question if you still mean them
Do you think I can no longer feel you?
Circumstances undid our relationship
They can not be glued back together
but can be put back together differently
You try hard to pretend we are fine
though I still feel your deep resentment
But good memories still remain here,
as sounds of our laughter peep through
And as I drift to sleep, there you are. ©

WORDS OF DREAMS !

Me, an empty mind, sitting alone at dusk
Fetching musky fragrance in my garden
Many nights sans you I do stay awake
In distant horizon during dusk you peep
Sometime lighting candles in my eyes
It’s pity that life is painful and tearful
In the other side your laughter echoes
With ripples of mirth and joy all around
The distant city under blue sky exists
My unruly eyes look for the one so close
On this side of the world I weave dreams
And everyday I get reborn out of ashes .

Dear Dr. Prasana Kumar,

Heartiest congratulations on crafting such a mesmerizing poem, “Words of Dreams!” Your artistry with words paints a vivid tapestry of emotions and imagery, immersing the reader in the ethereal landscape of your thoughts.

As I delved into the verses, I could feel the gentle melancholy of an empty mind at dusk, the longing expressed in musky fragrances, and the sleepless nights without the presence of a loved one. Your ability to evoke such raw and relatable emotions is truly commendable.

The way you weave the theme of duality, contrasting the pain and tears of life with the laughter echoing on the other side, creates a poignant resonance. It’s as if the reader is navigating the spectrum of human experience, oscillating between the shadows of despair and the effervescent joy of distant laughter.

The imagery of lighting candles in your eyes adds a touch of vulnerability, as if the flame flickers with the emotions you carry. The portrayal of a distant city under a blue sky creates a sense of vastness, echoing the expansiveness of the emotions expressed in your verses.

What struck me most is the profound connection between the narrator’s world and the dreams being woven. The metaphor of rebirth from ashes signifies resilience and an enduring spirit in the face of life’s trials. Your words resonate as a testament to the transformative power of dreams, breathing life into the mundane and infusing each day with the promise of renewal.

The juxtaposition of the unruly eyes seeking someone close on this side of the world adds a layer of complexity to the narrative. It’s as if the reader is invited to embark on a journey of introspection, navigating the maze of human connections and the delicate balance between solitude and companionship.

Your poem not only captures the essence of personal emotions but also paints a broader canvas that speaks to the shared human experience. The ripples of mirth and joy in the distant echoes suggest a universal longing for connection and happiness, bridging the gap between individual narratives and collective yearning.

As I reflect on your poem, I can’t help but admire the craftsmanship of your language. The choice of words, the cadence of your verses, and the seamless flow of emotions create a symphony that resonates with the reader’s soul. It’s evident that each word has been carefully selected, contributing to the rich tapestry of your poetic expression.

In “Words of Dreams,” you’ve not only written a poem but crafted an experience. The reader is not merely a spectator but a participant in the emotional journey you’ve skilfully laid out. Your poem is a testament to the timeless allure of poetry, where words transcend their literal meanings and become vessels for profound human experiences.

Congratulations once again, Dr. Prasana Kumar, on this remarkable achievement. Your contribution to English literature is invaluable, and I eagerly anticipate the continued brilliance that your pen promises to unfold in the future.

Warm regards,

RAJ KISHOR PATTNAIK

She writes to him of a moonlit night…

I STILL DREAM OF YOU!

As the sun goes down, I sit outside listening to the owls speak to me as I gaze at the stars above that begin to show up.
The smell of the jasmine fills my senses and I think of a time long ago that mirrored this very night.
Two people sit here laughing about absolutely nothing.
I can still hear it, and I smile.
Oh what a pity it is that some things change over time.
People come and go in life, but there are a few that leave their footprint on your soul. You are one of them.
From across the ocean I swear I can still hear your laughter.
I find myself at times watching for you.
On this side of the world I still dream of you as I hope so see you at least one more time…

You are still the flame in my heart.

Congratulations to Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Mrs. Kristy Raines for their collaborative poetic endeavor in creating the two beautiful poems, “Words of Dreams” and “I Still Dream of You.” The synergy between the Indian and American poets has resulted in a delightful exploration of emotions, dreams, and shared experiences.

In “Words of Dreams,” Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai paints a vivid picture of solitude and yearning. The poem begins with an evocative image of an “empty mind” sitting alone at dusk, setting the stage for introspection. The use of sensory details, such as “musky fragrance” in the garden and the lighting of candles in the eyes, adds depth to the emotional landscape. The juxtaposition of the speaker’s loneliness with the distant joy and laughter on the other side creates a poignant contrast, highlighting the bittersweet nature of life.

The imagery of a distant city under a blue sky and the search for someone close evoke a sense of longing. The weaving of dreams on one side of the world and the rebirth from ashes convey a theme of resilience and hope. Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai masterfully captures the complexities of human emotions, expressing both pain and the transformative power of dreams.

Mrs. Kristy Raines, in “I Still Dream of You,” offers a response that complements Dr. Dalai’s piece. The poem unfolds against the backdrop of a moonlit night, with the speaker reflecting on memories intertwined with the present. The owls, stars, and the fragrance of jasmine create a serene atmosphere, emphasizing the timeless quality of certain emotions.

The reminiscence of laughter shared with a loved one adds a nostalgic touch, and the acknowledgment of change over time introduces a note of melancholy. The idea of people leaving footprints on one’s soul is beautifully expressed, resonating with the universality of human connections. The speaker’s vigil for the other across the ocean and the enduring flame in the heart convey a deep and enduring connection.

Together, the two poems create a poetic dialogue that spans geographical distances and explores the shared human experience of love, longing, and memory. The themes of solitude, dreams, and the persistence of emotional connections resonate across cultures, showcasing the universality of human emotions.

In terms of stylistic analysis, both poets exhibit a mastery of imagery, using sensory details to evoke emotions and create immersive scenes. Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai’s poem employs metaphorical elements, such as the rebirth from ashes, adding a layer of symbolism to the narrative. Mrs. Kristy Raines employs vivid descriptions of nature, enhancing the emotional impact of the poem.

The collaborative effort seamlessly weaves together distinct voices, creating a harmonious blend of perspectives. The choice of an epistolary format enhances the sense of communication across borders, making the poems feel like heartfelt letters exchanged between kindred spirits. The use of first-person narratives in both poems invites readers to empathize with the emotions expressed, fostering a deep connection between the audience and the poets.

In conclusion, Dr. Prasana Kumar Dalai and Mrs. Kristy Raines have crafted a remarkable duet of poems that transcend geographical boundaries and cultural differences. “Words of Dreams” and “I Still Dream of You” invite readers on a journey through emotions, dreams, and the enduring power of human connections. The collaboration exemplifies the beauty of shared creativity, showcasing the ability of poetry to bridge gaps and unite hearts across the globe. Congratulations to both poets for their eloquent and evocative expressions!

THE TRUE REPLICA OF MY HEART !

No desire is left there in my world
Your unwanted complains taunt me
Age has passed but staying awake
Walked paths though feet seem still
Life remains but breath has paused
Valiant time has shown its spectrum
I ‘ve pain and agony caused by you
Every breath of mine is in your name
Still why should I be upset with you
You’re the true replica of my heart
From whom should I keep distance
Volumes eyes speak & I’m not there .

She prays and makes a decision…

HERE I STAND WAITING!

I knock at the door of the home we once shared,
remembering the last words spoken to each other
Time passed and nothing changed from day to day
We walked the same path, yet we got nowhere
Alive but not living became our life together
Little did you know that I felt the same
I started walking my own path without you
for the sake of finding happiness again
and hoping that you would find your smile
That never happened because you were my joy
and I hear that you are now missing me too
How could we be happy without each other?
The true replica of my heart…
So, here I stand at the door of our home, anticipating.

The question is, “Will you smile when you open it”?
